I like them both for different reasons. I have been gaming my Camerons more lately, but I really love my Byrons.. and I have more Byrons than any other manufacturer currently.

I have also been talking to the guys at Scratch about tweaking a few more clubs to better fit my new home course which has different playing conditions than the courses I typically play. Overall, this could be the most playable bag I have had in a while.. excited to see what the guys at Scratch come up with and how they actually perform.

Haha! Just a new wedge setup, and maybe something else After a few rounds at my new club, the rough is very deep around the greens with very touchy lies that my current setup just has way too much bounce for touch shots around the greens. After a few back and forth convos, I think I will be dialed in. It's always exciting ordering stuff from Scratch, I just hope it doesn't take too long!

Either tumbled raw or satin raw, what do you think? I have been wanting that tumbled raw for a while now, but satin raw rusts more.

Tumbled raw looks like this:

 

 

Satin raw just looks like the old RTG wedges and are supposed to rust more than the tumbled version.

Get tumble raw and if you don't like it Satin raw is very easy to DIY.

I usually don't change that quickly once the bag is actually set.. But sometimes the urge to ho comes on unexpectedly lol!

Great setup and I really enjoyed the shootout. Glad to see the guys at Scratch are taking great care of you. I picked up the RFE driver and am going to pick up the 3W. I'm going to try the TS 9.2 in the 3. Should keep me in a tighter dispersion and allow me to go for it on most par 5s. Loved the 913s also, but wanted to give the Callys a shot.

I tried the Fuel Tour Spec and loved the way it felt. To me, it felt better than the TS 7.2/7.3's, but it spun too much for me and launched pretty high. Definitely a great shaft though!

More tinkering.. new 2 iron being made, lower CG, more forgiving and lower loft. Also, new 47, 53, 59 setup with new grinds and head shapes.. and a Steel Fiber experiment is looming..

 

Recently had my lowest tournament round of 67 which was cool, lost in a playoff in day 2 but T1 for low gross score with very stiff competition.. pretty happy with it overall and not bad for a weekend hack :)

Be careful with the Steelfibers, cause they are AWESOME. I couldn't hit the i110s all that great, but I love the i125s. ZERO SIDE SPIN. They just want to go straight.

Getting the 125's, I hit a set of AP2's with them and couldn't believe how straight they went.. pretty excited to get them set up in my DW MB's.

They are butt ugly, but man do they fly straight or what? I love the feel too. I am still waiting on my Scratch blades that will have i125s. I decided to hard step the S flex. Are you going X flex? I wish I had gone X but at the time when I ordered mine they only had S and I think Patrick bought them way back.

Wedges are a little backed up.. hopefully soon, but from the sound of it, maybe not for a while. I'm going with McCoy grinds on the wedges, I like them a lot better than the DW's.

X flex, and pretty much trying to get the same CPM etc as my Nippon's now.
