It's semi in the rotation. The driver is so-so, pretty straight, but spins a lot and definitely shorter than my VR LTD and Yonex by about 10 yards. It is more forgiving and still decently long, but not as long as the other two. The 3 wood is a definite winner though, off the tee and the ground it is very easy to hit and very straight. Right now I'm back to the Yonex's but will change in Feb once the new stuff comes out. Eying the Callaway and Nike stuff big time.

Yup.. if the XHot's sit open at address and the driver also does not have graphics, that will be a contender for sure. Did you like the RFE? Not as much buzz about that one.

Lots of crazy stuff going on. Just hit the new Callaway stuff - very impressed. Next is the Covert Tour.. and some $$$ shafts.. going to be an expensive year. A few putters in the works too.. The irons and wedges are safe though

I think I am kicking everything out. I looked back last season and i really struggled from 90-115, and my green side manor has been a little troubling. I haven't had a consistent year with my wedges since the original VR's . And my putting has been hit or miss. I thought my irons were safe but a few weeks ago I put them up against the Nike vr pro combo CB's and the dispersion was really tight. Like REALLY REALLY Tight.

Pretty much have my heart set on a covert already. and I have been putting with my method for the past 2 weeks. So it looks like im gonna hop on the Nike Train.

The bag will probably consist of:
Cover Driver, probably the covert woods or vr pro ltd.
3-PW Vr pro combo CB's
53* 58* vr pro wedges
Method 001 putter (might check the midnight 006)

Rory Bandwagon here I come...

This could all change by next week haha. I hate winters in Michigan.... Though Trackman is nice I would rather be playing/practicing outside!

Well.. things just got a little interesting. This showed up today.. and will be shafted up with at Tour Spec 7.2x tipped.

 

 

 

I'm not sure what model tour head this is, but it is a lot different in shape from a normal R1 and also weighs only 180ish grams w/o weights.

 

There could be another shootout brewing, I have a few setups in the works and would be fun to test on an outdoor trackman to see how stuff really performs for me.

 

The incumbent is the Nike VR LTD 8.5 with DI 6x and 3 wood with DI 7x.

 

Contenders are:

 

-TM Tour R1 w/ Speeder TS 7.2x and TM RBZ Tour 14.5 Stage 2 w/ Speeder 7.2x

-Callaway XHP w/ Speeder TS 7.2x and 3 wood w/ Speeder TS 8.2x

-Titleist 913 D3 w/ Speeder TS 7.2x and 913DF w/ Speeder TS 8.2x

-Covert (pending so far)

Trying to figure that out with Will Peoples right now. I didn't get much information on the head from my friend, but Will said there are "One Dot" and "Two Dot" heads. We are trying to figure out the specs. Either way, it's a lot different than the retail head and I'm going to measure the loft etc once my shafts come in. Will post some more pictures later.

With as high spin of a player as you are consider the RFE over the XHP! Love the shootout this year - especially since you are using the same shaft!!!
