I brought my SB1's with me and the GoLo. Yoshio rented, they had 910's and new 712 AP2, with Vokeys and a Cameron as a rental set! Had I known that, I would have rented.

Congrats on the marriage! I went to Kauai on my honeymoon too, and stayed in Princeville. That course is probably one of the 2 or 3 best I've ever played....the scenery is definitely unmatched.

Thank you! I definitely need to get back out to Kauai soon.. such a great place! Best part of playing Princeville is after the round when they hand you a wet towel and some pineapple guava juice to cool you down

I played Princeville years ago, but I think I remember the starter saying I would be familiar with their greens since I'm use to west coast Poa. Are they bent?

I think most courses in Hawaii are Bermuda with tons of grain. It always takes me a round to get used to them.

You should go. The place is amazing.. not so much though if you're looking for shopping, night life, etc.. and the food wasn't that great compared to some of the other islands. I have more pics of the island if the Princeville one's weren't enough

Edit: BTW, Yoshio and I played with a dude from Canada.. really cool guy, and great player. Swung righty, putted lefty.

Thanks! You're not kidding about the backup bag.. I've been asked by a few if I am going to sell the DW SB1's, I just can't get myself to sell them.. too much sentimental value lol. I took the SB1's to Kauai for travel bag duties and they did quite nicely at Princeville, especially the wedges in that thick red sand out there.

I like the new set better. Major differences are the conforming grooves, muscle back and positioning of the weight. The new set has much less spin and the ball flight is flatter, the dispersion is also tighter when I hit the ball higher (less balooning). The MB's also have a much more solid feel due to the extra mass behind the sweetspot and higher in the face. I also picked up about half a club in distance with all spec's being exactly the same as the SB1's.

Thanks, yea... I have an Anser setup just like my G20. Ball speed is very close but I hit the Anser a touch higher... I think I like it better actually but I'm gonna hold onto the G20 for a bit.

The only thing I really don't like about the Pings is that goofy alignment aid they use! Less is more!
