Anyone know the ball count for the Players? 1st 2nd 3rd?

I don't know the totals, but I know Srixon is happy that they had the winner and 5 of the top 10 playing a Srixon Z-Star (of some type).

If you check the Titleist website, the ball count for the Players was 97 (Titleist) to 16 (nearest competitor). The winner of the Italian Open, played at the same time, used a ProV1x.

Previous tour victories for the Z-STAR ball line include Stenson’s victories at the 2008 Nedbank Golf Challenge and the 2008 Omega Mission Hills World Cup, as well as Tim Clark’s win at the 2008 Australian Open and Garth Mulroy’s victory at the South Georgia Classic.

The final round looked like a commercial for Srixon, especially with Stenson and Furyk. Great advertising for them!

Does anyone know if they were playing the regular z star or the X version?

Stenson was using the regular Z-Star. I am not sure what Furyk was using, but I know for sure that Furyk was using the x's in a previous tournament. I am sure that the non x version worked better for Sawgrass because the greens were so hard.

 

On the courses I play, the greens are much softer so I like the x ball because it wont spin off the greens.
