But its a bit big for it to be functional for me. Theres a lot of other nice bags already mentioned on here. I personally have just switched from a Taylor Made Cart bag to the Callaway FT Hybrid Stand Bag. I wanted something a bit lighter for when I travel with my clubs. I just waiting for it to arrive in the mail!

I also like the look of this J Lindeberg Bag, but ive never seen one in person so im not sure if its as functional as it is good looking!

What is beauty?
I carry a MacKenzie Walker for some simple reasons.
1. It is simply beautiful and a timeless classic, a true piece of work.
2. I love the "old style" look and it exudes the simpler days of golf.
3. If I got paid to carry someone's bag, then I would advertise for them. I have never received any money to support a company therefore I will not be a walking advertisement free of charge.

If the Mona Lisa had a logos plastered all over her, would it still be beautiful?
Everyone can make that decision for themselves.

Every person is entitled to their view and perspective. Although I may never like the pink and blue SunMountain for Titleist with the Trojan and Kotex logos, if you like it and carry it, go for it!

I'll keep my Mackenzie Walker and my blades and stroll down every fairway, enjoying the walk the entire way!

Another vote for the three-coloured Mizuno staff bag, but in this particular design:

Very bold and striking, but without a load of unnecessary foofaraw that the more recent Mizuno staff bags have had, complete with lots of piping, shiny silver streaks and other needless frippery that spoils the clean lines of the bag. This version was far and away the best in my book. Simple blocks of colour in a neat, sectioned design. The designers get 10 out of 10 for this. I've got a vinyl version of this bag (the pictured one is a nylon construction) that dates back to 1989 and it's my favourite staff bag of the several that I own by far.

In the case of practical bags that you can use every day, I still think a cavalry twill Ping L8 takes some licking. A solid, functional design, with timeless styling and a hardy construction that keeps it looking presentable for years. My blue one's still going strong after 18 years or so of faithful service and still looks pretty much as good as the day I got it. No daft colour schemes that date it, nor a slew of showy logos all over the place to draw arrention to it. A brilliantly designed piece of kit all round, and a sort of B52 or Bell UH-1 of the golf bag world.

The J Lindeberg bag is made by ogio, so its very functional, just a little heavier as its leather. Also can be picked up in the uk for £99 now!!!

Yeah, don't get me wrong I would never carry one of those bags or most that I have added to this thread for that matter. I just think the are cool looking. In a unique, nothing like anything in the US kinda way.

IMO the Mackenzie Walkers hands down, nothing is close. All these other flashy bags make me think one thing POSER. The MacKenzie's are classy, custom made to your specs, high quality, work for walking, and on carts and make you look like a player, not a wanna-be. They have timeless style and seem like a bag you may use for 20 plus years, where as the others seem trendy and you would want to replace them after a season or two.

Now, I only wish I could justify spending the $ on them without my wife killing me.

 

 

Spending $750 on a bag so you can look like you don't give a s*** is the definition of a poser. Again, nothing against the look or quality of the bag, but the idea that this bag can only be appreciated by great players or that simply carrying this bag indicates your arrival as a player is rediculous.

I think there is a bit of a generation thing here also. I grew up with the 6 - 8" single strap carry bag. I have not adjusted to the new hi-tech backpack style of today. One key reason is that I have always carried my bag reverse (clubs facing behind me) on my left shoulder (80 % of the time). I continue to look for a modern bag that I can do that with.
