Got one with an Aldila Cinnamon shaft in it that alternates in my bag with my SQ 282.

Great driver, no doubt about it.

My Classic DF is still in the bag. Came close to kicking it out, although I don't know what with. My past 2 round have been poor driving rounds. I am missing everything to the right or pulling it left (to compensate for the rightsy's).

After my round yesterday I went to a local course that was having a Ping Demo day. I hit the G15 and the i15. I couldn't keep those from going over the moon. They had good feel (i preferred the look, feel and flight of the i15 8*) but were spinning too much. I tried the 8* i15 with a Whiteboard 73x and a Project X 7.0. The Project X did the best at keeping the ball at a good flight and had the best distance.

I then grabbed my Classic DF 7.5* with the Fubuki. Hit it a few times and was still hitting it with a cut and losing distance. Made a slight swing change (don't know exactly what) and started bombing them right down the middle. About 10 or 15 yards past my best with the i15 8* with Project X.

The Classic Df lives to fight another day

I have been using an 8.5* (actual loft 8* and about 0.5* open) classic for a little over a year now and I don't see anything kicking it out of the bag anytime soon. I have demo'd an 8* i15 and an 8.5* Cobra Pro D and while they are both great drivers, they are not good enough replace the classic. I have been playing around with a 9.5* 9016D with a 73X fubuki, but initial tests tell me that it is not going to replace the classic and will probably be sold soon. I have been through a number of shafts with the classic (like others, I am a shaft ho) and I am now trying the Accra Dymatch shafts in the classic and 3446-F. I haven't had time to give the new shafts a shot yet...hopefully I will have more time in about two weeks. Anyway, the classic is a great driver for me.

I still have mine shafted with Matrix TP6HD and its a beast....can't see anything beating it anytime soon

My two share time pretty evenly depending on wind conditions; tried everything imaginable and those are still tops, with my 9015Ds a close second.

Mine won't be going anywhere. I can't believe how forgiving it is for such a low spin driver. Really lovin the feel with the Miyazaki shaft!

My 10.5 is still the longest driver I own, (I think I am up to 15 now), when I hit it center cut.

what shaft are u guys putting in yours? mine has a fubuki 73 s , sst pured on a 10.5 head (true loft) which gives it good trajectory, but wouldn't mine it alittle higher. I can do it if I really try to hit it on the up swing. If i pull it off i gain aleast 15-20 yards of carry. From what I have read the fubuki is supposed to be a mid-high low spin shaft.

I have 2 of these bad boys....

9.5* w/ Kai'li 70 X Flex
10.5* w/ TP-7x Strong Flex

Haven't decided which one I like...

TP-7x has a tight dispersion, keeps the ball in play more when not struck solidly...
Kai'li has a better ball launch, but not as good in dispersion...

My backup (gamed previously before the Classics) to these is a 9015D w/ Whiteboard 73 X Flex...

Never made the bag for me despite about 7 shaft trials. The 9015D kept it at bay handily. It spun at least as low as the Classic, felt a bit better and was a bit more playable. I did have the weird feeling someone with 110mph or more clubhead speed would bring the Classic to life. Hit the rare monster with it and i am sure these happened on the odd shot where all the stars aligned and i found an extra 5mph or so of clubhead speed.

My Classic Df may still live to fight another day.....only because I didn't sale.

I bought a J33R 460 9.5* head...cotton balled it to 206 grams....installed a Axivcore Tour Green 75x tipped an inch and 3/8ths, great combo. Installed a WB 83X tipped and inch or so (not sure exactly) just for poops and giggles and hit that great as well. Seemed to fly higher than the Axivcore Green with low spin. I wish I had both of the shafts installed in J33R 460 8.5* heads (need a lower loft) so I could compare them on a LM.

I forgot how much I loved the J33R head.....it feels even better with come cotton in it.

I may stick the WB 83x in the Classic DF head to see the results. I just need a driver that is more forgiving side to side than the DF. The DF is the longest head I have ever hit....I just need more forgiving. i highly doubt it stays in the bag.

BTW.....it is still on BST.....take a look.

i have my 9.5 classic with rombax 75X in it and it's a monster. it will not be coming out of the bag anytime soon.......

Happy with mine, but always toying. 9.5* with Kai'li stiff.
