Tom Slighter does some nice work. My buddy has two of his putters and I'm pretty impressed by the level of craftsmanship. As soon as he makes something similar to the SC Studio Design #5 I'm in.

I love the SD #5 and wish now I would have picked one up when they were still available. As was shown, he has three heads, with different hosels, that look like the SD #5. I just emailed him this weekend asking if the head on the three were different. They are not. He also said he can drill into the head to set the shaft like the SD#5 but it will be a thicker topline but the hole will come out at 90* and not at a slight angle like like the SD #5.

That was the intital problem with mine....He actually had a straight hosel coming out of the topline at a 90 degree angle and a shaft fitted over it but we couldn't seem to get the right bend in the shaft. I sent it back to him and had him add the hosel which gave me the alignment and offset I wanted. I love how it ended up turning out....

Sweet Stick! The Bellevue was one that I debated on before ordering my Tacoma. I also had a Kirkland that was a very nice putter. I guess there is always time to get back and put a Bellevue in the stable. Love the black/ blue combo.

I sent an email to Slighter for a price quote....$599 for the putter I designed...I don't think that will be happening anytime soon for me. Maybe a TP Mills though!

What were you asking Tom to do for you? That is $200 higher than mine that I received, which by the way, is almost identical to Hairpie's. I love it!

You must have had a few nice options on the putter you got your quote on. I would guess: floating face, custom hosel welded on, black satin finish, and maybe the Freq. Filtered shaft? Oh, perhaps carbon steel, as well?

Sounds like one heck of a putter if I am even close. What do you think the same flatstick would run you out of Scotty's Studio? I know of a Newport 2, GSS that set the owner back $4K.

Not in my league. I'll keep my Long Neck Tacoma and be very, very happy. Putts like a million bucks and didn't even cost me a car payment.

Worth the money, every cent.

You have excellent taste, as that would have been an amazing putter. Have you given any thought to just scaling back to a little more basic and having some items done in the future, once you have had a chance to roll it for a while? I thought about getting a floating face on my Tacoma, but didn't want to spend the $ , at the time I ordered it. I just asked Tom to leave a little weight in place so that if I wanted the slot in the future, I would still have 340 grams of headweight, afterwards. The shaft would also be easily put in place, somewhere down the line.

Just food for thought, it would have been awesome!
