Was watching golf central today after the nedbank tourny and they had a segment talking about whats in tigers bag this week. Went something like this:

Nike Dymo VR Tour (fail)

Nike SQII 13* (fail)

Nike SQII 19* (hey they got one right)

Nike VR TW Blades (fail)

Nike VR forged wedges (I think this one is right)

Nike Method 003 (way to go)

I just like the driver.... you think someone there could have told them that that club doesn't exist. At least the rest are right at some point in his career.

So what driver is he using then? I'm pretty sure it's the VR Tour or some version of it, he's not using the Machspeed Black Square Driver with the stock Fubuki. I'll concede to the 3 wood though, he recently changed it but it's wrong. The blades are an even more recent change too, so not surprised they got it wrong.

He is using a VR Tour. Just the fact they called it a Dymo VR tour makes it incorrect. And its not like its life altering information they are reporting so it's no big deal if they get it somewhat wrong but I just find it funny.

LOL my bad, I overlooked the Dymo part so you're right that's it's a fail. Yeah it is pretty funny when they don't know, especially with all these prototypes and non-released clubs and they give it a retail name or just say, "Nike prototype."

Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that picks up on these things and I know I'm not the only one here that wishes they could work for them and get paid money to make sure they know what they are talking about equipment-wise.

Don't blame the Golf Channel...that equipment run down was put together and sponsored by Dick's Sporting Goods! My guess, they put a lot of stuff on there that their stores have in stock so as to try and unload merchandise. Wish they would just be factual on those equipment run downs, even if we mortals cannot get our hands on those clubs.

Does everyone realize that the VR Pro blades are essentially the same Tiger Version "VR Tour" blades Tiger was using at the beginning of the year? Okay this may be confusing. It's in one of the pages on this page (I think around the time of the Masters). Tiger last year was using blades that were all chrome w/ a Swoosh in the middle of the muscle (similar to the very first Nike blades with the swoosh on the toe). Then he comes out in April w/ VR Tour blades...so we think. After further investigation by someone on this site, and pictures show, Tiger's version of the VR Tour blades (half chrome, half matte w/ the VR in Red in the middle of the muscle) had a different "muslce shape" (ie higher up the face and straight across vs curved like retail versions), even though asthtically it looked the same. Now compare Tiger's VR Tour from earlier this year to the new VR Pro's. Same no (except for the all chrome on the VR Pros)? Same muscle shape (straight across) and higher up the face. Ya'll agree?

Scotty makes a nice putter but i'm not a fan of his post 2002 ish lines. Scotty in my eyes has gone downhill.

I was at one of the Edwin Watts in Orlando and saw this in the case. More than half jokingly I asked the guy If the putters (There were a few other custom camerons in the case including a Brad Faxon Laguna) were for sale. The guy said "No those are property of Mr. Cameron"

Maybe in January if the rumors are true and Cameron goes to Nike and/or Tiger sticks with the Method or goes with a Nike Cameron it will be on the clearance rack for 199.99... wishful thinking.

I would be really surprised if he came out with anything other than his whiteboard. He tried all that experimentation at the beginning of the season and it did not seem to work all that well.

I wonder why Tiger doesn't use the SQ II 3 wood anymore. I always thought that was one if his more consistent clubs he hit well. That shot he had last year at Pebble was with that club. Looks like he's just sticking to the SQ II 5 wood.
