Doesnt happen unless its one of my golfwrx buddies that I normally play with and they are all low single digit guys anyways. I do have to admit I was pretty nervous hitting a fellow wrxers brand new TM tour supertri fubuki combo. I was just seeing dollar signs. Thankfully striped one down the middle.

I learned a similar lesson to the one your learning now but for me it was someone who I have golfed with on occassion and who I know to be a pretty good golfer. Taking a few practice swings with my newly aquired superquad all black 1st edition, he came over the top of a ball that he wasn't intending to hit, as a result he put a nickel sized dent on the bottom. I didn't notice until later so I called him to let him know, he offered to pay for it over time with payments but also suggested I contact TM to see what they could do. Fortunetely it was under warrantee and they replaced it. Since then I no longer let anyone use or try anything I game.

Tough call really, +10 after 7. I probably would have let the guy hit it too if he seemed like a decent guy, after all its just a golf club. You don't see marks like that very often unless the ball is beat up to begin with. I know I would be mad too if it were my driver but life goes on. The biggest thing you learned is the guy is not of high character. Should have loaned him out a premium ball to hit too so then it would have just left a small smudge. :rolleyes:

As for putting that tape on your driver to prevent skymarks, my advice on that would be to just pick a driver and play it because frankly if you are worried about hitting the top you don't need to switch drivers.

I once let a friend, plays to a 7 or so, hit my driver at the range. One swing, one broken shaft, end of story.

My brother is the only person that I let play my equipment, period. Not my cousin I play with, not my friends, not his friend that plays to a +0.2. I kindly tell people either they are not likely to load the shaft being an X, or that it cost a small fortune and I am saving them coin by not letting them.
