logo overruns - performance affected?

I'm wondering if putting logos on softer golf balls like Pro V1s degrades performance? I wouldn't mind playing them and places like 3ballsgolf has "logo overrun" sales, buy I'm concerned the imprinting process could affect their flight.

It does not affect performance whatsoever.

There is no decernible difference. Dirt, scuffs, cuts on a ball (which generally have very little effect) make more of an impact than a logo ever would.

were you ever concerned that the imprinting process of non-logo balls (you know, regular golf balls with the name and model inscribed on them) would have the flight affected? do you draw lines or mark up your golf balls? i mean, why would you ever think that there would be a noticeable effect?

my latest test of logo overrun balls resulted in the following conclusion:

If there is a oval imprint on the ball you can expect the ball to be low and boring on full iron shots while you may compromise a few yards off of the driver.

Linear imprints made the ball extremely workable. Occasionally, i would run into a dull feel on a full iron shot but for the most part it was buttery. The Driver.....

Actually I'd given it some thought but didn't know if the process was impact or non-impact printing.

It does make an impact mark on your driver if you hit the line you made... I had a 1/4" sharpie mark on the face of my driver.

research pad printing if your really concerned, although I swear i've seen a ball that looked like it was printed with an ink jet process. not sure what you mean by impact.

Maybe he's assuming the logo is somehow "stamped" on the ball and that there may be some impact to the ball or slight bevel/emboss that might affect performance. Shouldn't be the case though.

I often buy the Pinnacle Exception and Platinum Feel logo overruns and they seem to be the same regular logos. Are they even real companies? It seems like a planned process to sell them at a discount?
