How do I stop losing ball markers?

i lost my sweet masters ball marker out of my pocket yesterday. it just slips out of my pant pocket. anyone know of a magnet that is made specifically for ball markers?

There are also some gloves that have a spot for a ball marker. I know footjoy makes one, but it is smaller then most of the other ones you can buy. Just an idea.

Do you clip it to your hat? I've always viewed that as a chick thing. I gave up on nice markers and just bought a roll of dimes and dumped the whole roll in my bag. Problem solved.

I have a little flip out pocket ball mark repair tool with a magnet on it for a ball marker. Does a good job of repairing my ball marks in greens that sometime look like a 500 lb bomb was dropped on the green.

Sure do, I can use my favorite ones and dont worry about losing them and I dont have to fumble around in my pockets trying to dig out a marker etc. The ones I dont like are the hats with the magnet built into them.

I was going to suggest the hat-clip. A friend of mine has had one for years and still has his mark and he plays every day.

I am thinking of going to one, I just haven't found one I like. The less digging in my pocket the better.

+2 I like keeping the divot tool / ball marker in my pocket, it keeps things simple. Walk up to the ball, mark it and fix the crater.

I do the magnet thing but clip it to my belt. Less-chickish? If nothing else, less fumbling amongst the tees and divot tools in the pocket.

Or, as with cheap sunglasses that never get sat on or fall off in the ocean, just use one of those cheap, plastic ballmarkers. You will never lose it no matter how hard you try.

Similar to the dime idea, I personally use a Chuck E Cheese tokens from when I take my kid there. It doesn't matter if it gets lost, and it's a constant reminder to me on the green to not take this game too seriously.

You can clip the ball marker device to the side of the hat so as to avoid the look. Also, Titleist and some others make hats with a magnetic spot on the bill to hold ball makers. I have several of these hats. They work great. Marker is right there when I need it and never in my pocket where it would go away.

Just leave a bunch of coins in your bag and forget about any "lucky" markers....
My problem is I keep losing my Cameron Pivot tool, love it, but expensive!!!!

I like that. I might have to steal that idea. My little girl loves that place, just had her 5th birthday there. I keep her little putter in my bag as a similar sort of reminder and PLEASE don't anyone lecture me about counting it as one the 14 clubs in my bag. I've actually offered to let some of my buddies use it when they're having a bad putting day. For some reason they never find it as funny as I do...

The ball marker on the hat thing is a good idea, though I have lost those as well before. Personally, I leave all my really cool and favorite markers at home and buy my markers in bulk. I have like 50 of the same one, that way, if I lose one.....its no biggie.

Magnetic ball marker on the hat and a divot tool in your pocket keeps it simple and from getting lost.

i have a divot tool with ball marker magnet with a belt/hat clip. Instead of either of those places, i simply put the marker/tool on the back pocket (marker actually inside the pocket with the clip facing out. Even if it falls out off the magnet, it falls into your back pocket. Been doing this for over a year, and havent lost one yet. (i probably just jinxed myself)

When you play at some country club, just grab a handful of the plastic markers they probably have in the pro shop....at least it won't cost you anything when you lose one

I'm a fan of the caps with the magnet built in - the separate hat clip is just an extra thing to lose.
The markers that come with the hats work best but the magnet is just strong enough to hold some course-souveneir markers I have as well.

I got fed up with rummaging around in my pockets everytime i needed a marker, so the hats solved that. I've also moved to sticking my glove to my carry bag (via velcro) between shots for the same reason.

any hat with the clip/marker on it is awful.  You only see the LPGA with them.  If you get one, make it a flower or lady bug.  Only busting balls.  Get something bigger like a new $1 coin.  stays better in the pocket.

I can't stand people that use tees to mark their ball. If I see it in my peripheral, I kindly tell the player to mark it with something flat. If he doesn't have a coin, I'll throw him mine.

I might have a few left I picked up at the Masters this year. I gave most of them away, but I think I might still have one or two. If I find one, I'll send you one to replace it, but I'm not guranteeing I still have any. I'll have to get that bag out.

Get those cheap bright neon colored plastic markers that have that little prong thingy. They are great because you(and your group) can actually see where your marker is instead of trying to point to it or when you yourself has lost it and cant seem to find it.
