Ping All White Hoofer C-1, best stain protector?

Hey guys,

 

I haven't taken my bag out to the course yet and wanted to treat it with a stain protector of some sort and wanted to see what the best one is or if anyone has any advice/experience with this. Just wanting to keep the bag nice and white as long as I can.

3M scotchgard.. works pretty good. Just worry about the clubs getting tangled and the legs sagging like mine are doing now lol

Yeah man.. mine are BAD now.. almost hit my legs when I'm walking.. I think I might take mine in and warranty it.

I normally am pretty careful with my bags, am I reading correctly that after applying the 3m scotchguard, the bag started to sag and the legs started messing up?

Might just leave it as is.

No the scotchguard doesn't cause the legs to sag so spray away. If the legs do sag and they probably will, squeeze the two wires together that control the legs and they should fully retract again.

NOOOO noo! The 3M has nothing to do with the legs.. My point was that I was once concerned about putting the 3M on my white C1.. and now my main concern is the legs do not fully retract and the clubs get all tangled up. Which makes me

Ping bags are great, but a rip off at their price point. Some bags out there give you far more for less money. Plenty of people are Hoofer fanatics and can't be talked out what they love though

I just bought this same bag but the 2011 all black model. I noticed the grips getting stuck too. I have a 2011 4.5 as well. Not sure what to use!

its the most comfortable and best looking bag I have ever used. The stand mechanism is great. I agree the one complaint is that clubs get stuck due to the poor divinding system. I accept this because I want the lighter weight!

When the bag is sitting on the floor with the leg extended, tip the bag up so that the legs retract. Looking at the wiring system used to control the legs they almost for a "Y". Several inches below where the wiring system attaches to the leg (in the upper part of the "Y"), squeeze the wires toegther several times. You won't harm the wiring system and I've found it definitely takes more then one time squeezing them together.

I've used a couple zip ties right above the black clasp that holds the 2 leg wires together (the black plastic piece a foot or so above the bottom of the bag). This squeezes the wires further up and thus, snaps the legs up tighter. The only down side is the legs don't open out quite as wide, but still works fine.

Someone told me you could take a hammer and something flat like a file and pound that little black clasp further up, but I was a little hesitant to do that.
