Did you raise the whole floor to put in the putting cup in the corner?

 

His room is on the second floor, so his floor is wood. I cut the cups out of his floor inbetween the floor joists and used spacers to lift the cup up to position. The sub-floor was plywood, so I used a caulk filler to smooth the saw edge. He has two holes at opposite corners of the room. Best thing we ever did. He literally practices every day in the room putting. The green rolls a 10 on the stimp meter.

You and everyone else. I and he, hears it all the time. In the tournament the other day, the looks he gets are pretty funny on the range and putting green from the guys that don't know him. Most players around here know him, so it is nothing to them, in fact it is normal to see him like this. The ones that don't know him, make the wise cracks right up to the time his scorecard is posted. The head shaking begins then. Its all good, he and I get a laugh about it now. He uses it as motivation.

Looks are deceiving. First time I wore a flat bill on the course I shot 73. At 30 yrs old with a 10 month old, I don't really care what people think!

He is making a name for himself. I'd rather see that than a say, Luke Donald. Nothing personal, it's just boring.

Yes, the logo is his initials. The "S" is orange and the "N" is black. Tilt your head 45 degrees to the right and look at the logo and you will see the "N"

I see where he benched the 3W for the 3Hybrid and 3Iron is that what you mean? That's an interesting setup. Maybe if I could hit a 3 iron it would make more sense to me. Lol

Yes, that is 15 clubs. He has 4 basic sets depending on the course. In the US Open qualifier, he took out his 3w, carried both hybrids and a gap wedge. The gap wedge is the club that usually gets added or taken out. Depending on the length of the course will determine the mix of the hybrids.

1)Driver, 3w, 2h, 3i-PW, 56, 60, putter
2[b])Driver, 3w, 3h, 4i-PW, 52, 56, 60, putter *seems to be becoming his base set[/b]

He also has a 5w that he will mix in occasionally. The day I took these pics, he had 17 clubs at the range

The Sage invitational was played in April the golf channel is just now airing it. It appears to be a great experience for junior golfers.

So does Stratton wear the faces down on the S56's pretty fast? I have worn some finish off my 7 iron and even though it's center of the face, it bothers me, I'm considering ordering another 7 iron and wiping the face between every shot, 7 iron is my range club for the most part, so it's just wearing down fast.

How does he wear them down? Grooves? Finish?

Given that you've had them maybe a month and a half, I doubt you've actually worn the grooves down at all to make any difference in spin. So, why bother getting a new one, just keep using it til it needs to be replaced.

Grooves aren't worn bad, more finish.. Just bothers me a little, thought the pings would just be one solid metal, not a thin outer layer.

I am curious to what Stratton does to them.
