Weird to see the UT (Tennessee) symbol and colors on his putter. I played a lot of golf with him in college, he played at Tennessee Tech and I played at EIU (same conference).

Although I have the U of I chief for my avatar sooooo...pot meet kettle.

After a couple hours of testing various combinations, Scott left the Oceanside Test Facility "with no question" that he had the best driver for his game: 910D2 7.5º with [size=3]Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana 'ahina 70X shaft and SureFit Tour (SFT) hosel set at B•1 (standard loft, -.75º flat).[/size]

That's a sexy putter.

Seem's to me that a lot of pros are dropping P-wedges and picking up a vokey wedge or (insert wedge here) bent to 45-48*

I actually caddied for this guy in The Monday After the Masters Pro Am put on by Hootie and the Blowfish, and we were discussing irons. He told me to hold off on buying any irons until I got the chance to try out the 712's. He said they are that good. Also talked about his 009. He saw it on the van one day, and took it out for a spin and loved it. But all and all, Scott is a really nice acting guy. He sure can bash the ball off the tee as well. Glad to see him pick up that first win.

Sometimes you just need a little help from golf fans.

 

Scott Stallings is going to the Masters for the first time this week, and he asked Titleist's wedge guru Bob Vokey to make him four new wedges for Augusta.

 

As Vokey was in the process of building the wedges (46, 52, 56 and 60 degrees), he sent a text message to Stallings, asking him what custom stamps he wanted on the club heads. Stallings decided to ask Titleist fans for ideas via the company's blog.

 

The winners: "A Dream Come True" on the 46-degree SM4 wedge with 8 degrees of bounce; "Georgia On My Mind" on the 52-degree Spin Milled C-C with 12 degrees of bounce; "A Tradition Unlike Any Other" on the 56-degree Spin Milled C-C with 12 degrees of bounce; and "46L" for Stallings' jacket size on the 60-degree SM4 with 3 degrees of bounce.

 

All four wedges have at least some of the words in green.

Does anyone know what that driving iron is that he is using this week? Being a Titleist staffer, it could be a 503i. I just never got a good view of it. He was hitting it so far with that thing!

Edit: It was a Mizuno Fli-hi, he just mentioned it in his post round interview.
