The Clicgear 3.0 is quite possibly the best designed piece of equipment in all of golf, clubs included. No joke.

Durable as all heck, easy to push/roll, plenty of storage, folds smaller than ALL others, folds FASTER than all others if you read the instructions, doesn't tip over like some others, and they are coming out with a bunch of new accessories soon, a seat among them.

IMO $199 is a steal when you consider we pay $300-400 for drivers and some putters.

New stuff:

I have the CG 3.0 and I absolutely love it. The 2.0 is cheaper but you don't know how valuable the net is on the 3.0. It makes it extremely convenient to just toss stuff in your cart. Plus, the handbrake is easier to use on the 3.0 vs. the 2.0.

I did a lot of research before buying my cart and everything pointed to the CG 3.0. Also, from what I have been told by my local Roger Dunn shop, the CG is made better and there are less warranty issues. The repair shop says that they rarely have any CGs come in for repair while they get tons of Sun Mountain in.

The only thing that I do not like about my CG 3.0 is the umbrella holder. The holder will fit standard umbrellas but it is too small for the umbrellas with the newer handles. I bought a Nike umbrella that I had to return because the handle couldn't fit.

I am considering a push cart, I need to get off the Electric Cart, to save $ AND get some exercise.
The money saved on what would be Electric cart fees will help me justify getting a membership somewhere, as that is $450-750 (30-50 rds), possibly more if I can find the time to go more, which is entirely possible if I have a membership to a club close by.

Don't bother mentioning carrying, I've done it many times, and I'm done with it.

I just started my search last night, was looking at the SM V2, then looked into the CG 3.0, and now I am even considering the CG 2.0 (closeout pricing is good-a refurb from CG is 119 for cripes sake).
Is there a BIG difference between the 2.0 and the 3.0? I see a lot of folks saying they would just get the 2.0.
Are those differences considered "worth it" by most people on here?

From the pics I've seen, the V2 looks to have better storage/console, but the cart of the CG 3.0 looks better, is that the gist of it, or am I imagining this?

I am leaning 3.0 right now, but I wanted to get the opinion of folks that have been using them, especially folks that have used BOTH/ all 3.
I am going to look these over in person(at least the 3.0 and V2) before I buy, people that have experience with them give a much better idea of performance than looking at it in the store.
I have an ogio ozone stand bag that I'd like to keep for now- not sure if one of these is better than the other when it comes to stand bags, but I'm skeptical of the V2's attachment system from the pics I've seen.

Thanks

You should have gotten the white. The white cart is the only one with matching wheels. It looks awesome! I bought the blue cart before I saw the white. I would have totally got the white once I saw the wheels.

Done Deal, 160.35 after taxes, delivered.

You'll enjoy the 3.0 in black. It looks understated as the cart should. I have both 3.0 and V2 in black. I like them both. V2 is my every day because it just feels nicer on the course, but I'll be taking the 3.0 when I travel and have to consider the space.

Right call with the 3.0 over the 2.0 considering the storage improvements. It just works better.

We need some warmer weather here in the northeast though so I can play without a jacket or sweater.

i love the looks of the white, but how do the wheels hold up to stains on the course...with early morning rounds and the like. i dont want em if they will be dungy green or dirty all the time. but, man, does it look good.

Just ordered a ClicGear 3.0 from Sports Authority for $161 shipped. Someone on another golf forum posted a code for their Friends & Family sale which gives you 25% off....code is: SAFFAPR Great deal but it ends today 4/23 unfortunately.Oh and they only have blue and red....:dntknw:

Just got it via UPS about an hour ago. Easy to put up and take down. Seems very solid...a bit larger than I thought went fully expanded but at least it seems like it will hold my heavy-a$$ bag with no problems....lol. Can't wait to try it out on the course.:good:

Own a small driving range and think I can get the CG3.0 for $160 shipped but have to order a minimum. I will call to verify. Wanted to know if anyone was interested in purchasing one and I could put in a large order and have them drop shipped to you. I can get the accessories too, if needed.
Thanks

I'll give it a couple days for replies then let you know what I found out.

Here's an answer. I can get them for $130, plus $14 shipping(max), and a $5 drop fee(from the company) to your door. Of course I have to make some money for my shop, so I will add $15 the total. Total shipped to you = $164. That's the best I can do. If the shipping is less, your total will be too. NO TAX.

I can get all accessories too and some can be included in the same shipment, according to the size. If not, additional shipping will need to be added.

Thanks guys

Let me know.

Love the Cliqgear. Bought one out of necessity because my new car (Malibu) had a very narrow trunk opening and the Cliqgear folds up tiny. Glad I did. That thing is a tank but is still easy to push. I have had it for two years and I imagine it will last me a very long time. I also bought the optional shoe brush that clamps on the cart. Nice to clean spikes with.

I've had the V1, V2, Micro Cart, and now the ClicGear 3.0 and I can tell you the 3.0 is the way to go.
Very stable when opened.
Folds and unfolds quickly into a very small package.
Huge console with 3 ball holder.
Airless tires.
Great accessories available.

Get the 3.0 Checkout Kingdom59.com. They had some a while back for a good price.

I honestly think that both of these are great carts, but IMO the real rubber tires on sun mountain make it a no brainer for me, they grip better in bad weather and on hills and such..I

Order a CG 3.0 based on all the positive reviews here. Used an old Salvation Army store purchased pull cart that took a square bag for 20 years and can't wait to try this new one.partytime2.gif

I love the SM's tires when compared to the CG's plastic ones.

However, the SM's tires require more maintenance (checking to see if air pressure is sufficient, then filling them up with air if they aren't adequately inflated).

The CG's plastic tires are maintenance and worry free.

In the end, the CG wins, as I don't have to check it's tires the night before using it.

For my SM V1, I check my air pressure at the beginning of the season, and give them an occasional hand squeeze for firmness a few times a year. After 4 years, (aside from the season openers) I have added air once.

I've spent more time reloading the golf balls in my bag than I have refilling the cart tires.

It's a non issue.
