POST A PIC OF YOUR CUSTOM SLIGHTERS
Thought I start a thread where we can post our Slighter putters. I like the putters because I can get practically everything custom made to my specs. And of course Tom is a great guy.
I have posted mine in an earlier thread but here it is again. Do share your experience.

The range would be similar to a retail Cameron up to a limited edition Cameron..............except with full control over all the details.

Check out slightergolf.com and fill out a quote sheet. Tom usually gets back in less than 24 hours, most of the time. He is swamped, so allow for that.

You won't find a more enjoyable process than working with Tom on a custom flatstick.

Here is one more pic of a Kirkland that was sold to fund my Long Neck Tacoma.

Thanks,

Tom is a great guy to work with. He and I are good friends and hopefully someday I get to go out there and help him out. He has asked a couple times but just can't afford it LOL.

Here is my Tacoma made for M. Highman:

along with my personal headcovers had made for me, both have my name on them and different colors:

Please do not bombard him with requests for personal headcovers. I do know he wants to be able to do this for his customers in the future but asks that they don't get asked for becaues he is trying hard to keep up with his putter production and the headcovers take time on the phone with A&E.

PM me with any questions about Tom and SlighterGolf. I speak with Tom almost every day! He is a great guy and does wonderful work! The best thing about him is that he says he is a great putter maker but still has utmost respect for his peers such as Scotty and Bettinardi and Mills!

Here is my Custom Slighter Portland Prototype #18 of 18 made Pretty proud of it, very nice detail . I have been a Scotty Cameron buyer and seller for a few years and have had plenty of tour putters. This one , just as detailed and nice as any Cameron Tour putter I have had in the past. I have had plenty of players putt with it on the practice green at tournaments and tell me they could not believe the feel and control. Good to here feedback from scratch golfers that know quality when they see it. By the way, I doubt if Scotty Cameron himself would call you and make sure your satisfied with the way the whole process was handled . In which I was very satisfied

Atta Boy! Show that bad rascal off!

Very nice Portland! I also like the very subtle Tacoma above yours. Not all gawdy like that long neck.............LOL.

Tom is a class act and I am very happy that I wound up with one of his prototype Blade Golf putters. Kind of like having a Mizuno Cameron. Time will tell.

Keep the pics coming, I am loving it!

I love the look of your putter. It is funny about the 3-dots. A good friend of mine, who is one of the top Cameron collectors, got a new putter, just prior to us playing a round in Grand Junction, Colorado, a couple of years ago. It was something that Scotty made just for my friend, without his asking. It was pretty much a DelMar style head, or Lacosta that was done in black with almost the exact same 3-dot pattern in the flange. There is NO WAY that either of the putter makers would have seen what the other was making, yet they made almost the exact same putter, at nearly the exact same time. Great minds thinking alike?

Yours is gorgeous and I hope that it is still in your stable of flatsticks.

Thanks for sharing the pics,

I have 2 Slighters, the Needle came first, the Tacoma was bought used but in great shape. I love the Tacoma best, very soft feel and is always a good back up.

Tom always appreciates when forums like this are started up.

I started the post on BSG about Slighters about 1 year + or so ago. It should be about at 10,000+ views! The great thing is that the views have slowed down but due to the reason that so many people are starting their own thread for Tom and their experiences with SlighterGolf that my thread can finally sit back and relax and enjoy the ride :kewlpics:

One thing that goes unsaid... is that he also appreciates these SITES and their owners as well.

Its great to get a guy like Tom and all of his staff some publicity!

LaMont - Thanks for the kind words. The feel off the face of the needle is very solid. :kewlpics: I have been using insert putters for some time now and the noise off the face is quite different, sort of like a ping. Other players in my four ball have noticed the distinct noise from the Needle compared to any other putter. I also had the UST frequency shaft installed which certainly helps with feedback to the hands. I have only just received it so am still adjusting to the feel and sound but still managed to roll in three birdies with it last sunday , which for a 13 handicap on english greens/browns is a miracle:yess: Overall i am thinking this putter will be in my bag for a long time, which is saying alot for me as i have an adiction to buying putters :D

yelnatsgolf - Thanks for your kind words also. I took a long time trying to deside on how i wanted this putter to look. Many emails to Tom (which were returned almost as soon as i pressed the send key) and i was set. The pictures i posted are from what Tom sent me, which are very good but the putter looks even better in the flesh/metal. Also the headcover is something to behold, i have now sold my house and desided to live in it :D

Thanks again

JK
