These irons are surprisingly good.....very soft feel even with Project X....perfect head weights.....

I am glad you finally got your set! :D

It was Demo Day yesterday at the driving range and I tried the new R7 TP forged. I did not really like the back of these irons, and I personally did not like the ball flight (very low) and the feeling, even it was very good was totally different and did not offer that buttery feel I have with my irons. Anyway the level of forgiveness is almost the same!

Just be careful on this one guys. Fake versions of players clubs are everywhere over here. Titleist MBs, Mizuno, TM MBs, Maruman, Beres the whole lot.

And believe me they are often on sale BEFORE than the originals because someone in the manufacturing/assembly outfit gets them out of the back door to the fakers on the first day the specs and samples come in.

I'm not saying a knowledgeable golfer would fall for the fakes but they are out there, nonetheless.

Milo.

Hi, just to note that there are no fakes that can be issued at the same time as the original issue! That's impossible! And fakes are based on popular sets and you can get those with $200 including driver, fw woods, bag and umbrella (no joking). I did never see player's irons fakes anywhere in Asia. The easier to copy are those chunky shaped forgiving irons. Who buys fakes is looking to buy a cheap set to start play golf.

I've hit both, and the r7 forged, to me, are just as forgiving as the r7tp. The ginormous difference is the feel between the two clubs. The r7 forged feel is just so crisp and solid. I could never play the r7tp after having hit the forged. Again, thats just me. YMMV

Thanks, what Handicap are you? I am 15 HDCP, been hitting MP-32 but somewhat inconsistent at times... really want to play R7 forged but afraid it won't be too forgiving compared to MP-32 or R7 TP...

I'm currently an 8 ( was a 4 six months ago when I had time to practice short game ). A good buddy of mine has the 32's ... those are nice sticks, but not nearly as forgiving as the r7 forged. If you get the r7 forged, you will not miss the 32's

You may be interested that I have just received my new set of R7 Forged Irons with NS Pro 950 R yesterday and I went to the range to try them out...

What a beauty to look at address!! So I just started to hit a 9 iron to get a bit used to the set and man... I did not need that too many balls (10) to realize how good these babies are!!! Ball jumps from the face high and straight like an arrow and the distance I get is at least one and half club more than with my Titleist 775CB (even the titleist are one or two degrees less lofted than the TM R7).

After 150 balls hit with other irons up to the 4, it was exactly the same thing... long, straight and soft like butter.

Only the 3 iron was a problem for me (but this is with every set of iron I have ever had) as I could not be able to get it straight and a slice was the result of my first 8 or 10 shots before I gave up... I will keep my Rescue Dual in the bag until I will be more confident with the 3 iron

I will include the photographs of this set when I will post the wimb before the end of this week!

How can I get my hands on a set of these and have you hit the Miuras in order to compare?

Fitted the tour concepts last night and played 9 holes this afternoon.

Never mind the endless list of superlatives, this iron/shaft combination is the best I have ever played and the MP33/X100 set up is probably out of the bag.

IMHO, Tour Concept shafts are worth every penny and more. The X1s are soft but not whippy and deliver in every regard so far. The R7s are a totally different head with these shafts compared to the PX that they came with.

I do not understand why we don't see more TC on tour.

Will keep playing them and report back if I find any flaws.
