HAHAHAHA...close. I actually got a two inch piece of a graphite shaft. I ground out a slot in it so I could slip it over the lower end of my putter and slide it up to the fatter end near the bottom of the grip. Once I got the size right I epoxied it to an old iphone case. Looks like crap but it works....and it didn't cost me $30.

Think of all the putters you could buy with the money you could make from selling the Hawaiian iPing iPhone cradel. If you use an old Ilima shaft it's got all those flowers on it. Yeah, it could work. :rolleyes:

Anyone knows if Titleist makes heavier weights than the ones in the 910 weight kit? Even willing maybe to try and make my own.

Stopped by Aloha Golf Center the other day after hearing that they got in the latest Nippon Shafts... the Modus 3's!! Yes, the same shaft that Yani Tseng has been using to rack up those majors. Came in on the later side, but Joey and his friendly, knowledgeable worker were more than happy to oblige to this club ho's request. So I got them installed in my Miura 501's and had the irons blue printed to a D3 swing weight.

The main reason I wanted these shafts, aside from the fact that they look really good was that I was very interested in the promise of a lighter weight shaft (the stiff's sit around 115 grams vs the 130 gram S400's) that didn't give up any of the stability. Coming from the Tour Issue DG S400's... I had high expectations for this shaft and the Modus 3's certainly did not disappoint. Hit them at the on the course yesterday and again at the range tonight and am very pleased with the results. Trajectory and stability looks the same as the S400's.... but it has a much smoother feel to it. These did not balloon on me at all, and in addition, I think I picked up a few more yards due to the reduced weight.

For those in the market for a lower launching, lower spinning iron shaft that continues the tradition of the "smooth" feel of a Nippon Shaft, then definitely stop by AGC give the Modus 3's a look.

I bought another putter. Yeah, surprise..NOT. :cheesy: Since I have had much success with a POS Nike Core, I figured to get the "bling" back in my hands I'd but a Cameron NP 2.6. Well, let this be a lesson to aspiring putter ho's, a putter with a straight shaft is not going to be like another putter with straight shaft. Core is still in the bag to my major sadness. The only happiness it brings me is putts holed..but I miss something stunning like a Betti, Cam, Byron in my hands.

Added the Adams LP 3 wood. I am a total fairway wood "challenged" player. Read that as I suck big one's when you put a fairway wood in my hands. With the LP, I feel like a freeking stud. Ball goes long, ball goes high, ball goes straight. Even fat shots fly well for me. Sounds like an informercial?? Don't read it as that. The LP is freeking awesome. Go demo one if you can. I know AGC has them for demo. Definitely worth the test! I'll be writing a full review shortly. :yes:

Aside from turning my bag upside down and ordering new irons, I just returned my Titleist 909 D2 to Rdunn and got a Adams Speedline F11. Took it out on the range this evening and am liking this driver over the Titleist. I'm just using this while I wait for my 9088 to come in from AGC.

Ordered A12 w/velocity slot technology from AGC. Since they can get the heads only, it will be super easy to stick in a Graphite Design Tour AD UT shaft in it. If you guys have a chance, you've got to hit this hybrid. The VST makes it a cannon! Super easy to get up, very long and the ball flies off the face unlike any hybrid I've hit before. Upon initial glances, I didn't think it could replace my trusty OLD Adams Idea Pro but two nights at the range easily convinced me. :yes:

It must be really good if it can replace your old Adams hybrid. Looks like I need to order a 3 hybrid with the VS shaft.

Flipped the bag upside down...again. Mizuno JPX-800 w/ NS950 shafts came in, so I returned the Callaway RazrX (they suck btw). Got a message from AGC that my Adams 9088 came in as well.

BUT, just my luck, I won't be able to touch any of them til next week....

Since the JPX irons are 4-PW, I'm considering Miura wedges. Lefty 52, 56, 60 to be exact. What do you guys think? I'm a 20-21 handi and really want something that will last a while and grow with me.

Those JPX's are very nice. Having owned three of Mizuno's sets from the last release, the JPX Pro's were the one's I kept contemplating as well. I think you'll really enjoy the JPX with NSPRO's. Definitely something you could play for awhile.

As for the wedges....you're asking a bunch of ho's if you should buy clubs. LOL... of course buy clubs! :cheesy:

Don't forget to look at Chikara. Better than the Miura's IMO. But either way you can't go wrong.

Will check them out, but pretty much narrowed down my choices between Mizuno MP-R12 or the Miura wedges. Unfortunately, I'm a lefty, and don't have a choice of styles with Miura.

Whooa..it's dead in this topic. What the heck has everyone been buying?? I'm on a selling binge at the moment. Got about 100 putters to get rid of. :blush: I've been trying a lot of stuff but nothing seems to be catching my interest too much. Although the Mizuno MP-69's I tried today were pretty darn purrrrrty.

I haven't bought anything recently and I'm actually pretty happy with my current setup and am almost afraid to try some new things. Although I've been wanting to try the C-Taper shafts and the G20 driver. I ran into Joey at Mililani a couple of times and he mentioned quite a few new things since I've been to the shop las, which was a while ago.

I actually should start trying to sell some of the clubs that I don't use. I bought one of them earlier this spring when it first came out and I've already seen a retail price drop on them. Damn. Haha.

Well I have been ho'ing, just too much to list. I will be going down to Aloha golf center this week to pick up the new Adams hybrid and to order a set of Mizuno MP 59. If you didn't stop by the shop yet you should, best prices, knowledgeable and friendly staff. If you don't have anything to do stop by and hang out, one of the WRX ho's should be there.

I'll second that about the 69's being damn pretty, stopped by AGC yesterday and sampled the demo. I have to fight the urge though, since Joey just swapped out the project x on my 68's with c-tapers, even though he's encouraging it...haha

Can;t wait to get the LP 3 wood in my bag too.

Not really new, but its now in the bag. The Byron Mystic Mini is in the bag after some minor tweaking. Found that I was putting well with the POS White Hot at AGC so I altered the lie to match. Wow what a difference. :clapping: Putted even better than with the Palombi. Hopefully it keeps rolling good. Tournament and money match next week.

As for me..SHOCKING..I'm still using my Cobra S3 Forged Combo Set! I actually had to change my grips on a set of irons! I don't think I've ever worn out a grip since I was a kid and couldn't buy my own clubs! Putters.. revolving door that I can't even keep up with. NEW though is the Adams A12 with Velocity Slot hybrid. I demo'ed this extensively thanks to Joey at AGC allowing me to borrow it every Friday that it was available to use it on Saturday for my regular round. After my first test with it at the driving range, I was pretty hyped that I found a hybrid that could replace my ooooold Adams Idea Pro Gold which is practically the only hybrid that I can hit even after trying pretty much everything else made. :yes: The new A12 easily replaced my Idea Pro Gold. It's almost as idiot proof as my Speedline LP. Adams is really impressing me and with the ease of demo'ing their stuff at AGC, and Wade the Rep always being there to tell me about the line and Yani Tseng just kicking major butt with the Adams line..it's making it very difficult for me to not venture into trying their irons out. :yes:

Need some help, when I get home in I'm looking a getting new clubs or at least new shafts.

My Question is for around a grand can you get fitted, new clubs, and a driver under or around my limit. Would it be better to keep my current heads (Adams Pro Golds) and just get new shafts.

Thanks for you oppions

***ADD*** I want to try to stick with all Adams but will switch brands if there is an option that is better out there.
