although not user adjustable, ping was using adjustable hosels in their drivers 6 years ago and i don't recall ANY hype about adjustability back then. funny how times have changed!

If Calc was using one at the Senior Open it didn't get very good publicity as after another lousy drive he jokingly offered it to the gallery....

Ping's biggest problem with the G20 is bound to be the G15.

The G15 has legendary written all over it, if it hasn't already achieved 975J/905R status it will...

I hit the G20 driver on Sunday.

I am currently playing the G10 driver with a Pro Launch Red stiff shaft with 7.5 degrees of loft. I tend to hit the ball high. Every other club I hit seems to balloon if I hit a club with a higher loft. Been playing the club for about three years now and noticed, with technology, I have lost about ten to twenty yard to my playing buddies with new drivers.

So Sunday I hit the G20 on the range. POW! What a great felling club! I hit a friends' TM Superfast TP with 9.5 degrees of loft and a Matrix stiff shaft. I really liked the feel of the ball coming off the face of the club. The shaft felt good as well. I hit the G20 and TM side by side. The launch appeared to be nearly identical. The ball seemed to carry as far as the TM and also rolled out nicely. The shaft is money. I'm not a tech guy, so I don't know how to explain it, but the combo was great. Even my friend who owns the TM was very impressed with the way I was striking the club, the ball flight and carry and distance.

Pulled the trigger this morning. $299 with the TFC 169 Tour stiff shaft with 8.5 degrees of loft. Can't wait to get it.

that tour shaft is the best OEM shaft ever. The G20 is the most solid feeling driver Ping has produced, not to mention that longest.

Ping Rep said I need to use there shaft due to the head weight. They said I could cut a inch off a aftermarket shaft to balance it out but i cant play it any shorter than 45.50" Couldnt I have my fitter put a counter wieght in the butt? Anyone else been told this about the Ping G20 driver? Tour guys are not playing the Tour Stock shaft made by Ping I know that for sure. Play the Adams 9088 anyways but just got this form taking with the local rep. But I would still like to know why they would make a driver that is supposed to be used only with a Ping shaft. I couldnt play a made for or a Ping shaft. Tour AD Di 80X is a must always.
