If you have an issue with sharpie marks, a good ole Mr. Clean Magic Eraser wipes them right off.

AAAAA balls win like crazy.

I order ProV's and Z-Stars from there almost exclusively. Although the Z-Stars right now are about the same price as brand new so I am going that route until they drop the price a bit.

Just bought a dozen TaylorMade Penta TP's, AAA rating. Used the coupon "holidayfive" for $5 off so I only paid $1 for the balls and $5 for shipping. None of the balls were white like a new ball, some didn't have any marks, some had minor scruffs. I doubt that any of this really changes performance much. I use balls for as many rounds as I can anyways.

What difference has everyone seen between the AAAA and AAAAA? Obviously I'm saving almost half on new balls with the AAAAA, but why not save the money if the AAAAs are just as good?


I see a lot of people saying they were very impressed with the AAAA packages coming in almost brand new.

Has anyone bought AAAA and not been impressed?

From everything I've read around here, most AAAAA balls will look brand new, as if they just came out of the box. There may be some logos or minor player markings. It seems that the AAAA balls are still in very, very good condition but might have more players' markings.

^^^ thats generally the case that I have found through my purchases. I don't really care about a few logos, and erasing some marker is no problem either when I look at some of the savings. Haven't had a bad experience with AAAA at all.

I just bought 100 mint Taylormade TP Red LDP. They are in vet good shape BUT the cover is noticeably more yellowed compared to my stash of new TP Reds.

I posted this in another thread as well, but I recently had a dozen 5A and a dozen 4A Srixon AD333s in an order, and I can't really tell which dozen is which grade. I can make a guess based on player markings, but not based on the actual quality of the ball. As far as I'm concerned, already present player markings save me the hassle of doing it myself.

Also kinda cool - two of the balls in my 50 AAAAA bucket had a White Sox and Cubs logo on them (one on each, obviously!). Must've found these particular balls in the midwest!

Most of them are balls that have been pulled from water.

Youll definitely get more logos on Pro V1's than any other ball.

Ive only bought 5A. I get them, dump them all out and then sort them into three piles: perfect, marked, and not happy with. The good ones go back in the bucket, the marked ones get wiped with acetone, and the 'not happy with' go to the side along with an email to LGB. They have good CS so theyll just send out replacements for the bad balls.

I think there were 6 balls that I wasnt happy with in my last 100 bucket of 5A Pro V1.
