His equipment for the three US Ams is pretty easy to pin down, due to the volume of photos/press that covered those events. But he won three US juniors prior to that, which should really fill in the rest of the details if photos can be found of some of those events. I know he played Eye2s early in his career, and I recall a Cobra driver was in his bag for quite some time.

Goes to show that Mizuno is a top club of choice when money is not involved. I always heard the rumor that his Titleist irons were Mizunos badged titleist. Who knows though. MP-29 was a great set of sticks.

Always remember the mantra Nike Blades are copied/restamped Titleist Blades which were copied/restamped Mizunos which were copied/restamped MacGregors. So by the six degrees of freedom Tiger is playing MacGregors. Barry should be very pleased.

Guys...Has anyone see the Equiping a Tiger on the Golf Channel??? His Nike Blades made by Tom Stites look nothing like Titleist Blades. Tom Stites is one of if not the Best Proffessional Club Makers, why would he need to copy anything? I guess there is a lot of resentment toward Nike Dominance on Tour! :idhitit:

You obviously don't understand sarcasm Paranoid Nikey Guy. That was just the silliness that has been going around various sites for years. If you had any inside knowledge (ie. talked to the guys that build/built Tiger's irons) you would know that when they disassembled Tiger's Titleist irons to try to copy them they discovered what could only be called a mess of assembly (lead powder, lead plugs, wood dowels, head weights all over hell and gone, etc.). Finding that they set about duplicating the weight, feel, specs without trying to "copy" the messes as they put it. Anyone that puts the Mizunos (14 and 29), Titleist 841s, Titleist Ts, Nike Blades beside each other can see they have nothing in common other than urban legend.

You are right about Nike's dominance on Tour. Guess what if you switched Tiger to any company they would easily jump into the top two or three.

Sandy- That is correct...The irons he was playing were all over the place. The myth about his Irons and set up just needed to be set straight. It is just hard to read your sarcasm when you are constantly taking shots at Nike and their product. Obviously moving Tiger to Cleveland would help their Tour Win Count and actually would give TM 9 wins instead of 2 but that is all pointless anyway because he chooses to trust his Nike product and Win with it. It is obvious that you know your product but you don not give enough credit to Nike Golf and the Innovaiton they are bringing to the game. :diablo:

I think I remember seeing something quite a few years ago where Nick Price was playing a custom set of Tom Stites blades, not affiliated with any company.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
