chipping and pitching at the range always helps my full swing. back to basics pitching with a slow short tempo will groove you back into shape.

After I have a bad round of golf, I adhere to a very strict ritual to remove the bad mojo from my clubs.

1) I set the staging area for this ritual in my kitchen. I turn off all electronic devices and lights, and light scented candles that smell like "fresh laundry". You can't start "fresh" without the fresh laundry scented candles.

2) I run some warm water in the kitchen sink, and add a squirt of Palmolive Spring Sensations dish soap. Palmolive is tough on grease, soft on hands. Words to live by.

3) I wash each clubhead -- from driver all the way through putter -- in the sink, using a Reach Toothbrush. This step is essential. If you fail to use a Reach Toothbrush, you'll get the shanks for sure. Trust me. I have witnesses.

4) After rinsing each club in cold water, (this is IMPORTANT -- HOT WATER ONLY ADDS TO THE BAD MOJO DURING THE RINSE CYCLE) I use a 100% cotton towel dry each clubhead, and wipe down the shafts and grips. I then align each club from longest to shortest, left to right, leaning against the kitchen counter.

5) Once the clubs are properly lined up, I retrieve a couple of eggs from the fridge. It's best to use eggs from chickens, but any egg will do. I crack the eggs open, and pour the yokes into a frosty beer mug.

6) Putting on a ski mask, I sneak down the hallway of my apartment building, carrying the mug of egg yokes. I pour the egg yokes from the frosty beer mug onto the welcome mat of a neighbor that I absolutely hate. That pr*ck. If his Sunday morning paper is laying there, I will pick it up and bring it back to my apartment. teehee

7) I then return to my apartment, put the clubs back in the bag, and we're good to go.

OH- I almost forgot. It's best to perform this ritual while you are absolutely sh*t-faced drunk. I suggest JW Black Label scotch, but it's up to you.

Hope this helps.

Rusty

So today was about as bad as it can get for me!

So what do you do after a round where nothing seems to work?

Take a few days off?

Work only on short game for a few days?

Jump right back in with another round right away?

Range sessions?

Oh, and I have a tournament that starts Saturday!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Look for new clubs! It's never the player, always the equipment!

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
