Trip to Atlanta, need opinions

The only courses I don't see mentioned here that I always enjoy playing are Royal Lakes in Flowery Branch area (walkable if that's of interest) and the Chateau Elan tracks. Mid-week 4 hour rounds. Weekends 4:20 - 4:30. FWIW I have played my last round at heritage - overbooked and always slow play. Was 5 hours into a round on the 15th hole and permanently called it quits for that course.

So which courses did you play and what was your opinion of them?

i'm headed down to atlanta for work and will be staying in the Marietta area and hoping to get a quick round in somewhere before an afternoon flight.

i'm considering Cobblestone and wolf creek. need a course that isn't too far out of the way or near the airport. don't have to play the best of the best just hoping to avoid the goat paths and play something decent.

any other suggestions.

Cobblestone is nice but it is taking you away from the airport. Wolf Creek would be your best best but you might also look at Crystal Lake, which isn't too far from the airport as well. You'll likely get paired with someone at Wolf Creek which would probably make your round more enjoyable.

thanks. cobblestone would be out of the way but it looked nicer online. if the courses are similar or wolf creek is fairly nice i will probably just go there.
