Found one of these a couple days ago and tried it out.I didn't love it. I play the Penta currently. This ball felt too clicky off the irons and woods and got scuffed to all he** from the wedges. Pentas will last a few rounds with no scuff marks from a wedge.

I have had the opportunity to play the Hex Tour Black. IMO, it is a very good ball. This is a five piece construction ball. Very durable. I didn't notice too much in the distance factor, but I was able to control the spin much better than any ball. On a dime out of bunkers and from the fairway. It will be nice for Callaway to have only 1 tour ball out there. I look forward to playing it in the near future.

Where did you find one? Are you sure you didn't find one of the other/previous HX line of Callaway balls?

I found it at the course I play, actually in a range bucket. I was quite surprised like you. But it is the same ball. Unless there are some counterfeit hex blacks out there but I doubt it. I am going to play it some more and give it another chance but it's hard for me to leave the Penta. It just feels so good to me from the driver to putter and I haven't found another ball like that. Purely a personal preference and subjective I know but I never really liked the Callaway tour balls for whatever reason. Or Tiltleist for that matter.

Hi i just brought a sleeve of hex tour black of ebay and they look the same as in pic except for it has no got the arrows on the end of the line like pro v do, so are there fakes out already, here is a pic of mine

hi yes that's same as mine but if you look at the pic at the top in this fourm his ball has got like little arrows on both sides like the pro v has got!! strange

I just got mine from Callaway and they do not have the arrows. Mine are the same as the last pic above. They came in the all black box.

Just got a sleeve from my rep this morning. They also do not have the arrows and came in the all black box. Cannot wait to try them. I need a replacement for the ix. I am down to my final dozen.

Look closely at the OP's pictures --- it's the WRX watermark across the picture that makes it LOOK like the line has arrows at the tips. They are all the same balls, no fakes.

The one in the original post definitely has arrows on the end of the lines. All other pics in this thread dont have the arrows. It's not the golfwrx logo.

Here's a link to what I posted a month ago. Back then, I had received a sample sleeve from Callaway rep and I'm liking this ball. In fact, I had some of my best rounds of the year with those balls although I've played just 4-5 times since then due to weather. No distance gains but it seems to hold it's flight pretty nicely in strong winds with some consistent ballspin as it seems to me.

When it comes out, I'm going to pick up a dozen to see if my good scoring continues as I already used up my 3 Black Tour balls.

BTW, a local friend who also got his sleeve of Black Tour balls, he put it on Ebay and sold it for $45.
