Anybody play Delaware Golf Club lately?

Can anyone give me feedback on Oberlin Golf Club? Is it worth joining? How is the course?

Boy this thread died but anybody play Triple Crown in kentucky recently or maketewah since the reno?

Not looking for your boss to put up an invite, I have a pro connection that might be able to get us on, but are they the kind of place that is very tight about non-members?

I have played a few rounds out there pre-reno and I don't think they are that tight compared to certain clubs in Cincy, but that may have changed post-covid I'm not sure.

Played in a charity event at Mak a month or so ago. The renovations are fantastic.
 

Until retiring, I use to play it several times a year (business golf). It’s a fantastic place and I never had an issue.

 

Lastly, we won the outing!

Kicking around some ideas.  Driving back to Ontario from Louisville(through Detroit area).  On our own for this one(buddy has made way too many calls for me already).  So along 75 There is Heatherwoode and Pipestone.  Or there is Beavercreek up along 675. There is Stonelick Hills(although it seems like *every* hole has water) around Cincinnati.  Or would it be worth driving out to play the Virtues?

 

Is the Virtues that much better that it's worth the drive out there?  Kind of thinking of splitting up the drive from Louisville so Dayton is a decent mid point given the golf available.

Your assessment of Stonelick is very accurate. I played pipestone earlier this year and it was in great shape. 
 

I’ll add that heatherwoode has been a really nice track but can be sort of tight driving on a few holes. I haven’t played it this year to tell you what kind of shape it’s in. 
 

Yankee trace is a good course but can be crowded. They push a ton of people through.

I have played Yankee Trace in the past, so that's why I left it out.  Should have mentioned that.  Wife and I are down in Dayton for the weekend(no golf) but we drove by Heatherwoode last night and it looks to be in real good shape.

I think you’d enjoy it. It’s a fair but challenging course.

Heatherwoode is punching on Tuesday and Wednesday.  I thanked the fellow for his honesty, and I will play there when I'm down here next time.  But for Monday the 11th I think we can scratch it off the list.

I know you’re back already but figured I’d chime in on virtues if you ever find yourself on that route again. I definitely think it’s worth it as it’s an interesting play with a whole lot of elevation change and some really cool holes.  Can’t go wrong with an Arthur hills course either imo. 
 

Also if it’s a clear day, you can see the handle of the basket building by standing on the tee box on hole two and looking back towards where hole 1 green is. There’s a building shaped like a giant basket around there which is a neat drive by that I’d suggest too.

Anyone play out a Beckett Ridge this year? I know they’ve been improving every year but $69 weekend rates seems way too high.

Anyone played Shaker Run this year?  Might be playing in the Miamisburg/Springboro area later this month.  Heatherwoode is probably the most likely(have played Yankee Trace several times), although Pipestone or Shaker Run could get the nod if the info suggests it.
