What's Your Current Handicap?

Started the year on 13,9 now working my way up to 14,6... No success in tournaments. I think it's sort of a mental block, cause I'm swinging better than I eve used to.

i would love that. i can hit irons out of the rough, but can't make anything longer than 3 ft. on the greens. in my last 4 tournaments, i didn't have any 1 putts.

im in the trees way too much, so much that im confident in hiting a 170 yard punch under trees onto the green.

2.8 to be exact, have had a year of chipping issues which killed me!! strange cause it was best part of my game!! once i fixed my driving chipping goes to crap!! arragh! oh well have fixed it now so all good! finger crossed

I was just over an 8 earlier in the year (I think 8.4 to be exact). Then the union at work went on strike for 2 months and I had to work 70-110 hours a week and didn't get to golf for 2 months. Currently I'm playing at around an 11. I quit logging scores in the NGN site after the strike, but been shooting between 80 and 86. I'd like to get back into the single digits before the season is over though.

19 handicap. Been golfing for about 3 years now. When I first started (before I was married), I really wanted to get good and have a low handicap. But things changed once I got married. Now, I am perfectly happy with being out on the course (maybe 10 times a year). It's not about my overall score but the shots that I make, i.e. sinking a put for birdie which is rare for me, or I hit my 2nd shot on a par 5 and it actually reaches the green.

4.0 trending to 2.6 but I play way more often than I post. I need to do a better job of posting. I'm probably close to a 3. I was a 3.3 last summer and I'm playing better this year than last year.

currently playing to 21.4 Just started golfing at the beginning of this year. Had some bad driving problems but working on those and hitting better shots. i have only played 9 holes so far. Best score was 44. Shot 2 weeks ago. haven't played since then. Scores before that were in high 40's/ low 50's

12.5 and holding steady. I need to land more GIR's, get those wedge shots a little closer to the pin and actually sink some of those 5 footers that I keep missing.

This is my first year playing real golf (1.5 years of pitch+putt). I started out a 32, and am down to a 24.7. I started the year horribly, with many 100+ scores, and am now in the 90's regularly (PB of 90). Every time I enter a round, my handicap drops by 1 to 1.5.

I'll be happy for a while if I can get my handicap under 20, I feel that's respectable.

6 sets of irons

4 sets of wedges

7 putters

3 golf bags

7 golf shoes

and countless of balls I lost in water and in trees

Thank you so much golfwrx, now my wife keeps inventory of my clubs and have to pay my buddy to buy stuffs off ebay for me since my papal account is under strict supervision.

I'm a 6 but been shooting some more consistent lower scores the last few weeks and with a 67 few days ago. When the next ghin calculations come out at my Club, figuring I should drop to a 5. Time will tell if I can stay in this groove!!!!!!

There are either some really good golfers on this site or a bunch of vanity handicappers

According to the Pope of Slope on his website on 1/2 of 1% of all golfers are scratch or better. 50% of golfers are between a 14 to 20 handicap.

According to the survey so far, over 10% of respondents are scratch or better (20x the national average) and only 15% are in the 15 to 20 range (almost a third less than the national average).

I'm probably the worst 6.2 in the world. I hit most fairways (avg @9/10 per round)...miss most greens (a good round yields 6 GIR), short game is ok. 90% of my rounds in the 70's this year has been fewer than 27 putts (this helps alot). Feel like i should probably be a 15 or so, then i go out and rip off a string of rounds in the mid 70's and the damn 'cap never goes up

I can't putt that well, but stil an +0.1, if i could make 50% from 10 feet and in I'd be a +5 easy lol, exapmle, i shot 68 the other day missing 8 putts inside 10 feet and 4 within 4 feet. Oh well maybe this is a sign I should actually practice LOL

My USGA index is 40.4 because GHIN won't let me have a number higher then the max female index. This is my first season with an index and the good news is with lessons etc, my scores are starting to drop. I finally entered a couple 9 hole rounds that were combined with a 36.6 differential.

Yeah, yeah I suck but at least I finally have something under the max for a woman in the mix.
