Coconut porter aged in sugar cane rum barrels aka Black Pearl at the Maui Brewing Co. Grand opening in February was amazing.

 

 

Also the Bikini Blonde with passion fruit was quite tasty.

 

 

 

I'm in Hawaii now as well. On Oahu. Have been drinking tons of Big Swell. Bought some Deschutes Fresh Squeezed which I though was just ok. Saw a Grapefruit Sculpin six for $19 and said "why not, I'm on vacation!". And I have a fantastic coming home present from my buddy, NEBCO Locust Reign!! It's nice watching playoff hockey at 2:30 in the afternoon :)

Put the first of my Fifty Fifty Eclipse Elijah Craig 12yrs in the fridge for tomorrow. Early happy bday to me beer to enjoy after I do my beer run for the trades we are working on. Really hoping it is as good as I have been hearing/reading at $29 for a bomber it is not cheap. If it is good I could see my self getting a couple more different varieties and let them age to become a Bday tradition.

You could also make it easy by asking for anything from Pipeworks. Everything I've had from them has been good.

Anybody else using the Spiegelau beer tasting glass set? Mine came in this week and I've really enjoyed the IPA glass the best. It gives such a great aroma to what's in the glass.

Nice score the double dba is miles better than the regular dba. I've only had the 2012 version aged 3 years. Sucaba one of my top 5 beers

It is a tough one it went so quickly here. There is a restaraunt that at least on Taphunter says they sell bottles to go and they have Parabola, the catch is restaraunt prices. $24. I am going to be down in Old Town Scottsdale tomorrow for dinner and drinks, I might stop in and get one. I should have had 3 bottles, missed one by 10 min and the other the shop owner said they were not getting it and they did. I called her on it when I bought my KBS from her, needless to say I am now on their phone list for the good stuff.

I would have loved to have a 3rd bottle for trade bait lol. If I end up with the 2nd I would have to trade it for something really good.

I highly recommend house of brewz in fort Myers beach. Sick draft list, 50 on tap and 200 in bottle including a crap ton of IPA's and stouts over 8% abv.

Bourbon barrel crab cru is a def standout
