A natural progression and move based on the "craft" beer industry. I personally don't care as long as the move doesn't restrict my ability to buy from smaller craft breweries. If someone offered me a billion dollars for my company I'd probably sell it to them too...

I still have two more Harvest Ales, but I'm cracking into a new 6-pack of Centennial IPA. Love me some Founders.

If I had to pick two breweries to drink for the rest of my life and those were the only two I could drink

Founders and Firestone Walker. They cover a wide range of styles from IPA to high abv barrel aged stouts, and do them all very well.

I've come to find tha my all-time favorite beers are citra hopped imperial ( or double) IPAs. Three Floyd does a great one with permanent funeral, but it's next to impossible to find. Any others that I should be on the lookout for?

Btw, really love Lagunitas Sucks, but it's not the citra variety. Still awesome beer and now easy to find

If you can get Fat Head's the Hop JuJu is amazing.
Sierra Nevada Torpedo has some Citra but it's a blend. It's a great beer even if it's not what you are looking for.

Check out Knee Deep brewing. They have a few excellent IPA/DIPA offerings that feature citra hops. Simtra triple IPA is my favorite, but there are others, such as Citra extra pale ale that are very good.

Citra a** Down is excellent as well. I can't remember if it's from Knee Deep or not though.

Citra a** Down is from Against The Grain out of Louisville, KY. I've heard its supposed to be really good.

Ive lost interest in really caring about who owns which brewer. As long as the "corporate bad people" dont go in and replace all the local staff and move production somewhere else and the beer stays the same all is good.

They said everything is staying the same, BP is dominating the SD beer scene (114 breweries here). They'd be a damn fool to change a winning formula... I headed there in a few hours..,

They always say that stuff, and of course they need to keep everyone on to run it..that's where the the value in the company is. Atleast for the time being.
But sooner or later corporate pressures and stockholder demands win out, and the attrition begins. Especially when you're now a multi millionaire and don't have to Put up with any of it.
I'm sure both parties have the best intentions, but I can't honestly think of a situation that's ever worked out long term.
Being a local in the craft capital of the world, the biggest point of pride is that it's like your supporting your neighbor, someone from where your from, someone just like you, that's building something different and cool.
For me, The idea of it being corporate pretty much ruins that.

bad batch or what do you mean?

edit:
found this article about this year's release. Looks like they aren't doing 12oz 4packs, but 16.9oz bottles. I'm good with that...just about the right amount for one at night. Two 12's was a bit pricey and got to be a lot on the pallet by the end of the second.

I've been thinking about this one and its really tough. I love Founders, but their IPA's don't cut it for me.

Right now I'm leaning Bell's and one of Shorts/darkhorse/Ballast Point/Greenflash/Deschutes/Russian River...

Firestone is solid for me, solid classic IPA's are covered, and all kinds of barrel aged stuff if you have full access to their catalogue haha.

Such a loaded question here but I would go with Founders and 3 Floyds.

No brainer for me, I like Founders a lot, from IPAs to the dark beers/stouts. Right now, I have Breakfast Stout, Backwoods, Harvest Ale, Centennial IPA, All Day IPA, and one more bottle of Blushing Monk as part of my "inventory". Need to pick up Project Pam when it's out next week, and more Dirty bastxxx and Black Rye (which is coming later in the year). Oh and I haven't even had a chance to crack open the Redankulous yet.

I think Firestone Walker is going to be the other, but still like a lot of Ballast Point offerings too.

I'm referring to the format change, higher cost per ounce and overall money grab. I've also heard from a bunch of different people that the new variants are not very good. I'll wait to try them myself though to make a judgement, but I know two people that drain poured the new Prop.

Just cracked my first Schlafly Coffee Stout and it's a great beer. It's ratings are pretty polarizing on BA so I think it's lack of sweetness is a turn-off to some but for a coffee nerd like myself it's heaven. Also got some good news about BCBS being available to me pretty soon so I got that going for me…which is nice.
