2015 Eclipse Vanilla and Coronado BBS Stupid Stout new beers to me. Random BCBS release only grabbed 1 cause they were charging 13 a bottle, and I am picking up 1 more regular and 2 barleywine the week after superbowl so I did not really need to go crazy on the overpriced bcbs. I really hope the vanilla eclipse is solid, after having a bourbon county vanilla rye I have been trying to get my hands on more bourbon barrel vanilla stouts. The eclipse generally sits on shelves for a while because of price so usually easy to find well after release. Another bonus I have just about $30 credit stored up on my frequent shopper rewards card for my favorite bottle shop so if it is good I can go get two more for the price of one

It will become easier to get over time. They are going to do weekly deliveries for the next month I believe. That first delivery is the tough one because the demand is so high. You should probably see it in a week or two.

It's actually over 20" in total now, this was after shoveling the driveway twice.

I don't see how golfers live in places that get that much snow! I'd go nuts. I guess it's beer drinking season.

Tough one because my only comparison is Bourbon County Vanilla Rye which is the top of the BBA vanilla stout mountain. The Eclipse is good, very good even, but it is just not enough to be on the same level as Vanilla Rye. The big plus though is you can actually find/buy Eclipse Vanilla.

Grabbed a case of Breakfast Stout before they are gone for the season. Also plan on picking up a pack of Backwoods to hold onto for next year and to do a comparison.

Pretty much all that I've read on BA is its pretty smooth some occasional hold times they don't ask too much just your info to send a check and possibly a tshirt.

 

 

I'm still getting two bottles because they're doing this if they're bad I'll just get refunded. Seems like the barleywine is hit or miss coffee seems to be all bad.

I'm in Colorado on business and last night at dinner at Seasons 52 I had a Green Flash West Coast IPA which was a double 7.1 I believe and VERY flavorful! For my second beer I tried Odell's Mercenary double IPA which was also very delicious. Maybe they just taste better when vendors are paying!
