Bittersweet time at TPC Stadium at Sawgrass

I just got back from a weekend at TPC Sawgrass. I played the Valley course on Friday and the Stadium course on Saturday. I will confirm what some have said in that the Valley course was harder than the Stadium course.

 

With that being said, I have an interesting story. After returning to the hotel following my round on the Stadium course I found that they had lost my #4 hybrid. It wasn't an expensive club but I really loved it. They said they would look for it but being New Years Eve I didn't expect much. When I called the next day they let me know the club had been found. Apparently Urban Meyer was playing later in the day, ran across it, and turned it in.

 

First off I want to publicly thank him for that. I tried to find an email so I could let him know but no luck.

 

As a Gator alumnus this made for an odd feeling but now I gotta like the guy even more.

He could have kept it for a day, changed his mind, started to turn it in, but then again, decided he liked your club.

In the end, he changed his mind and decided it was right to turn it in. Just hold on to it.. He probably told his 4-some that he wouldn't have hit it well, and was going to use an iron instead. He might come back for it.

We are in a "Dead Period" as it relates to college football recruiting. This period is from Dec. 20th to Jan. 3rd when there is no in-person contact with recruits. However, being his first year at OSU I feel he should be preparing for the huge final push until National Signing Day on Feb. 1st.

That was harsh. I find that in NCAA sports, the violations for the "most" part, are pretty minor and so petty I swear they were made to make an office and a job for a boat load of people. Some of it is so silly you can't help but laugh!

You may be correct. I certainly thought that myself. One never knows. However that's not a long flight. Nevertheless, I'll stick with it.
