2012 PGA Merchandise Show: PING Golf i20 Woods and Irons

Just hit the fitting cart 7 iron with the CFS stiff and X flex. Sweet JESUS!! This iron is going to sell and sell WELL. Loved the CFS shaft too. The feel is of forged, yet it's cast and I'm sure PING durable. Whoa. Took my breath away.

It IS. Even the stock PING shaft is stealth. Reminds me of the SR-71 Blackbird. Sets up so sweet with the white lines across the face. Reminded me of hitting the Rapture V2, but a quieter sound. Those that like a muted driver will LOVE this.

Makes me wonder why so many mid HC players use the G series irons The I series irons look very forgiving yet more playable.

Hitting i20 driver when you flush it it almost feels like you hit nothing. Crazy good feeling driver.

Are the irons off set much? My miss is a pull so I'm not looking for irons that will increase that.

OK so I would say that Ping was once my "irrationally disliked" OEM. I think it stems from the EYE 2', and Zing irons that i just find hideous. But If money and time were no object, and I could subjectively test every club, I may end up with 13 G20's. The driver, fairway, and hybrid are especially appealing.

I think my 2012 driver will be between the i20 and the Razr Fit. If the i20 had any amount of adjustablity, it wouldn't even be a question.....

I hit the TFC X flex -1/2 inch. Usually don't like made for shafts but this one is very nice in this head. Didn't git the 3 wood but I will today.

demo'd a bunch of clubs this past week and the i20 driver stood out of the crowd. Hit the i20 irons and driver, rbz fairway and hybrid and adams super hybrid and fairway. The i20 driver looks incredible, sounds and feels great. Hit the 8.5 and 9.5 x-stiff stock ping shaft. Hit high low spin bombs with this thing. launching 16-17 degrees with 2500-2700 rpms. no ballooning at all, started high and stayed in the air for a long time. i'll be doing a driver fitting soon and don't think i want to hit anything else. i will but this thing is going to be hard to beat. can't wait to demo the fairway and hybrid. i could easily see i20 driver, fairway (though it will be hard to beat the adams superfairway) hybrids and irons in the bag this season.

I just bought the i20 3 hybrid to replace my Taylormade Rescue 11 and I will never look back. The feel is amazing, has extreme forgiveness for a players hybrid, and has plenty of distance as well. Overall the purchase was well worth it. PING has done it again.

My local club had a i20 driver demo. Took it on the course to compare against my current gamer a g15. The i20 was 15 yards longer and in the fairway most of the time. Its as advertised - penetrating trajectory and low spin.
