Looking for a Club Fitter in the St. Louis area?

Anyone use the Golfsmith fitting service.

I'm looking to order a new set of Ping irons. I really can't decide between G20's or I20's graphic or steel shafts. I would like to find a fitter in the St. Louis area that could help me make these decisions with swing data. It would be nice to keep the fitting cost as part of the purchase price of the clubs. But I would pay more to know for sure that I have the right setup for me.

Anyone have any recommendations I could look at? How about the new Golfsmith store?

Talk to Leif Erikson at the Golf Galaxy in Chesterfield. He can either help you or hook you up with their new Pro, Mike ??? or the local PING rep Jerry Watulavich (sp?). Jerry fit me a number of years ago and did a great job but he's always on the road covering three states I think.

For Pings, Jerry Waitulavich is your best bet. He's a long time Ping rep in St. Louis.

For any other type of fitting, I'd go to John Kelly. I believe he's now operating out of Pro Am golf in South County. John's absolutely the best club guy in the city and has been an outstanding fitter for over 20 years. He's the shizzle.

John is the man. He will probably give you some crap about Pings....he re-gripped an old set of Eye 2's for me 3-4 years ago and told me to come back when I was ready for a real set of clubs. Super-nice guy and highly respected

Hello John,
Just found you on here after some searching on the web this morning. You bent my irons for me some years ago at Midwest Golf Lab and really liked your service and approach to fitting. Think I need another adjustment... I pull-draw most iron shots and the toe looks up at address. Just sent you an note to your sunset hills gc email... hoping you still do this sort of thing!
