Tour hats in public

I wear my AJGA hat backwards everywhere, it's unstructured though. I do however sometimes wear my TM R11 hat backwards too.

For some reason, it doesn't bother me to see a basic cotton golf hat in public. The kind with one logo across the front or whatever.

But the "Tour" hat with a structured fit, and logos on all sides, from multiple companies – they just look stupid. Reminds me of people who wear those NASCAR jackets with fifty different sponsors embroidered all over them.

I am a ping guy....so the only thing annoying about wearing ping apparel among the general public is when somone asks me where my pong hat is....I must hear that a few times a year. Other than that, golf hats are really all I ever wear (when I wear a hat).

Wow. I wear golf hats all the time (I'm sitting at my desk wearing a Black Widow hat as we speak). I've never thought about how many logos my hats have on them, but most only have one. But......then on the other hand, I'm a NASCAR fan too and I wear my obscenely logoed jacket everywhere I go too. To each is own. I'm 43 and at this point, really don't care what perople think of me.

I wear my puma, titleist, and tm hats often while not golfing. they look good, wear them!

depends... i have a titleist hat, structured, with the mesh in the back that i wear in public. But I find it really only wear it when I am dressed super casual (like mesh shorts and a t shirt, or hoodie) and am quickly running to the store or to grab food. I never wear it out in public outside of that.

I really have nothing against it. I do laugh inside sometimes when I see people at the bar with them on on like a Friday night. But to each their own, i mean who really cares. If you get caught up on someone wearing in a golf hat out side of a golf course than you either have a pretty damn good life with little to complain about or some serious issues.

I have no problem with people wearing whatever type of hat they want in public. I personally don't wear a "tour" hat (Titleist structured mesh ones) in public but I do have a few cotton unstructured golf branded hats that I wear on a regular basis. However my favorite and one I wear most often in public is:

Bingo! To the OP, I wear my Titliest, Nike, and NFJG Tour Hat around a lot. Mostly my red NFJG hat because it looks unique and fits like a glove on my head.

Seriously? So there is concern about whether you should wear a golf logo hat when not playing golf? I thought we were supposed to be adults here. Wear the freaking hat!

I'll tell you whats an even bigger concern. Is it ok to get decked out in your golf gear..white belt included..for a trip to Golf Galaxy?

I don't think I own more than a couple non-golf hats. And I wear alot of hats, so I'm always walking around with logos on my head

logo'd golf hats are fine as long as your comfortable where you are when wearing and you actually play golf.
other than that, who cares.

Just don't get me started on HD hats, shirts, jackets, bandanas, boots, socks, wallets, watches, necklaces, earrings, underwear.

Can I wear a three button polo if not golfing then? My opinion, wear what ever, when ever, where ever, as long as its not an entire outfit including shoes to the bar. ( I've seen it done)

75% of the time when I wear a hat in public it is a golf hat. Gotta represent! Always love when you're nowhere near a golf course and see someone else in a golf hat and you both kinda do a double take and get excited ("oh, another golfer! I wonder where he plays? What clubs does he use? Is he on WRX?") and then you start talking about golf!
