Slighter and Byron Picture Thread

I'm getting one or the other - show me your ideas!

Guys - I'm going to get a putter made. I'm not sure which one yet and I don't like one more than the other, EXCEPT, I'm from Bellingham, WA which is right near Seattle... sort of ;) Anyway, if you could put up High Res pics, I'd appreciate that.

What does a Slighter cost? I know the Slighter website has a quote form, but I don't want to bother anyone because I am not sure I can even come close to affording one.

You asked for it. Here are a few pics, just a few.

The long neck John Byron was one that Byron custom altered for me, quite a while ago. I rolled it for a long time, and then it was gone. The group of Slighters were in my house, as a trio, for a very short time. My long neck Tacoma, from that picture is the most beautiful golf club I have ever bought and worth every penny. The third picture down is my first full-on handmade from Byron and it is super smooth to roll. He outdid himself with the craftsmanship and welding on that one, for sure. I'll be back for another, when the time is right.

Between the two, you will never go wrong. If I had to choose, I couldn't. They have both been great to me and have earned my loyalty through their actions.

The centershaft was a custom that John and Byron put together for me during my "Gotta have a centershaft" stage.............it passed.

The High Beam DH1 was something that I saw in a corner the very first time I got to visit Byron's shop. I had to have it. One of a kind and Long Neck............how could I resist.

where did you get that copper dale head? I have been looking everywhere to see if there was ever one made in copper. can that be ordered and if so can you give me an idea of price. I know the regular dale heads on

the e bay hang in for around 150.00.

They were all copper plated not solid copper.Most of the old John Byron putters are gone,I would need you to send it to me..Unless we can find you a old head.. I will look into it..

That is quite a pair, Hairpie. That mini S4 is going to look unreal, once it starts to patina. I have a longneck Proto 1998 from Byron that is absolutely gorgeous, now. The patina is almost rainbow in the milled cavity. I think it was a proto of the DH II, but not positive. Love the look of the 006 and the Slighter is also very cool. I think it should be this way.............if you can't decide which one..........buy one of each........or two of each.........etc.

Some pics of my slightly hammered gamer old school John Byron with customization by Von's Golf up here in Seattle (sight dot and new shaft/grip with 10g tungsten weight in bottom to get up to 340g head):

That MO gamer is a heck of a blade. I have one in the "extras" bag in the corner that may just need to come out and play for a day, or so.

The mods look great. Vons did a pretty clean job. I have seen a few of his putters on this and other sites. It really is a tuff game to break into, I guess.
