I'm going crazy and try something new on grinding style

I've combined M and P grind in 1 head. LOOK!

I though this is a neat one to share w/ you guys! ;)

I got to be honest this is one of the toughest one i did, this is a double job also.

Not easy and takes time to get it right, plus it took a lot of metal/weight. Total lost weight is 7-8grm. Good thing that this is a hand pick that was originally heavier than usual.

I'm not sure if i want to do this type of grind to much. I'm not sure if it's justifiable on the labor versus charges. Plus you need to get the right head weight from the start or else you'll have to much adjustment after.

I'm sure the owner gonna chime in here and probably he will give you guys a review after he had a chance to practise and play them enough.

Do I need to patent this one? :crazy:

The intention and expectation of this grind are:

 

The wedges will play tight enough to the ground when you chip or full shot from a normal fairway grass area ( square address position ) due to P grind. For a better striker will allow them to pinch it cleaner and easier.

 

The M grind will allow them to be more creative around the green area to flop or pinch low spinner type of shot.

 

In the bunker, The P grind act like a second bounce that will trap some of the sand to let the club lift the ball up and drop the ball softer on the green, thus it will allow you to be a little more aggressive.

 

I'm sure for a better skilled players there are a lot more creative shot w/ this type of grind.

Looks like Solus wedge's grind in Vokey. Nice. I would want my CG10 having that kind of grind, if it's affordable.

Initial shape is w/ a grinder, but I use a drum sander for final shape. The hard part is that your hand has to be pretty steady and be very patient. Trust me, it's not as easy as i though it would be to make a perfect straight line cut. Especially i want to be perfect like an elongated tear shape on the P grind.

Here is what I feel this grind is good for.

 

Tight Hardpan -bare lies, pine needles.

Tight Fairway.

 

That leading edge would slice steak.

Loose to powdery sand although it also is a plus w/firm sand and an open face for a tight pin.

It's all depends on individual swing style, skills, creativity and practise.

 

Different folks different strokes! I wouldn't recommend this grind to a 25 handicapers for sure. ;)

Joey, I had this same grind made up for me on a spin milled vokey, had tungsten plugs inserted, they made it D-7, and overall I liked the wedge.

 

The benefits of this grind its pretty much it won't dig as much out of the bunker. It obviously is easier to pick shots off of tight lies.

 

I have moved onto new wedges now. If anyone would like to buy a used 60 or 56 (right handed) one of these their welcome to offer a bid.

 

I can post pictures later, they look awsome.
