What is the most holes of golf you've ever walked in a day?

Most I ever did was 57 in a day, three 18's plus a 3-hole loop we have at our course. I didn't play the next day

Probably 54 or so. I was probably 13 or 14 years old at the time. Now, I wouldn't think of doing more than 36

I would do the hundred hole hike, my sister has type 1 (not the kind one gets from over eating and being sedentary) diabetes, but there aren't any participating course is new England

Is this like the 3 day walk for the cure where you have to go out and get sponsors for 10K or so and the they let you walk?

There isn't a minimum quota or threshold to enter, though you have to do the legwork to find a club willing to let you play 5 1/2-6 times in a day for a good cause. All of the sites listed were driven by the participants getting them added to the network, not the other way around. Some might be open to additional outside play, some are for their members only.

Over 60 as a teen several times. I'd get dropped off in the morning and play all day. It was a 9 hole course with no par 5's though.

I just did 36 holes two weeks ago, and probably would not have enjoyed another 18. This is using a push cart.

I walked at least 36 hole most every day in the summer when I was in my early teens. The club pro would pick me up on his way to work in the morings and his son and I would play of and on all day for the whole summer.

I've played 36 holes in a day once. It was a US Am Qualifer, luckily I had a buddy caddying for me.

60 holes on the summer solstice (longest day of the year). Saucon Valley has 3 excellent 18 hole courses and also a 6 hole short course. Teed off at 5:30 AM and carried our own for the first 6 (short course), then had caddies the rest of the day. Rolled last ball into the hole just as it was getting dark at 8:30 PM or so. 15 hours of daylight gives you 900 minutes or 15 minutes per hole. We had rests in between each 18 hole round where we ate, so I would say a total of 120 minutes not playing. Makes it about 13 mins per hole average or just under 4 hours per round. We did it with two foursomes, varied ages. Fun day, but pretty tired at the end.

I actually wore my heart rate monitor for the entire day and according to it, I burned around 4,500 calories over 907 minutes with a peak heart rate of 144 and an average of 102.

45 holes, Christmas day about 9 years ago was 60 degrees out, Club was closed for the holiday. All my family was out of town so it was really just me and the world or at least that’s how it felt.



Had the whole course to myself, got up early drove to see if anyone was out, no a soul, so parked the car, and just started playing. Was Skybrook here in charlotte, I was a member before Carolina Trail bought and ran it into the ground, was a great time, but tough it’s a very hilly course.

When I was 18-20 yrs old my summer job allowed me to be off every Wednesday (the business was closed that day) and I would often get to the course at 7-8 o'clock and stay til dark. Literally eat three meals at the course. Those were a few fun summers....
I am 29 now, a doctor, work 5 days a week, and only get to play weekends. Just to think about doing that now makes me hurt all over. Lol

Walked 59 carrying back in High School w/ 2 buddies on a 6700 yard course with a few good hikes between holes. We walked 18 on that course in ~2.5 hours. No way I could do that now.

Have walked 72 several times, and didnt start golfing till I was 46. After 72 I start getting a little tired and run out of daylight. Mostly my feet hurt too much to want to play any more.

I carried 36 when I was younger, but I couldn't handle 100 now with an air tank.

For me it was 45. I used a push cart as I had an idea of what I was in for.

108, many times. But it was a par 60 executive course and I was 12 years old. Youth greens fees were $2 for the first round then $1 for the remainder of the day.

One of the parents would drop us off at roughly 6 or 6:30 AM on Saturday and pick us up near sunset. The standard was 5 rounds but occasionally a few of us would push to six, while the others waited around the clubhouse or putting green. We'd eat lunch after the third round and I was always itchy to get back there, frustrated at friends who insisted on a second hot dog or hamburger.

The course is long gone -- Kendale Country Club.
