Been alot of people asking about Face Balanced Putters lately. Let's go ahead and list them. I want to start off by saying this is NOT something I want to do alone. I want to get everyones input on this as possible. makes it more of a team effort. We'll start off with the YES Brand

The C-Groove Olivia model is a face-balanced mallet-style putter made of 304 stainless steel. It features a three-tiered weighting system with quick-change tools.

Dang....Didn't realize YES had so many Face Balanced Putters. Looks like they like the Straight Back Straight Thru Stroke.

I have a Yes Natalie (btw why do they have to name putters with girl names?). It's one of my backups but it does see some action now and again.

Whoever does it remember Long SLant, Long Neck, Long Bend, Ghost Center, Center Shaft and all that good stuff.

The Goal is not to keep me Busy. it's to try to get people involved in one thing and to gain knowlage from doing it. Sure, I could do it all myself, but that gets old after awhile to be honest. That's why Iwas hoping for a team effort on this. ;)

Last question: My Ray Cook Classic Plus II heel shafted has 2 weights in the sole of the club...what is that considered?

Here's a Book defination of face balanced:

 

Face Balanced Putters -

 

In this concept, the putter head is the evenly weighted from heel to toe. This head has an even distribution of weight around the entire head. This design helps to keep the putter face square to the intended target line during the putting stroke thereby assuring a more accurate roll of the ball on the intended line. For face balancing to be maintained, putter shafts may be straight only if attached to the center of the putter head. If the putter shaft is attached to the putter in the heel or toe region, the shaft will have to be curved in a precise way to maintain face balancing. A face balanced putter will end up with its face pointing upward and perfectly horizontal if the putter shaft is placed on a finger or other suspension point

 

Sorry, but the Callie is not face balanced. ;):(:stop:

 

 

 

 

I'll have to look up that putter, but normally the weights are added in the sole just to add additional headweight to the putter.

I know the futura is face balanced but I don't know about the futura phantom mdels. the scotty cameron centershafted newport is face balanced but we would need to ask chris to make sure ;) :stop: :stop:

According to Scotty the Futura line of putters are gravity balanced. Beats the heck out of me what that means ;)

both are really good for face balanced putter.

 

 

well all dbl bend putters ,center shafted, long hosel putters are face balanced ....

I have to admit...I was a little hesitant at first about the Ping CraZ-E, but it putts pretty well. Can't get over the looks of the UG-LI even though it works good.

with oddysey also almost all of the 2 ball and 3 ball putters are face balanced with the exception the plumbers neck models.

 

also with the scotty's most of the center shafts are not truly face balanced. almost all of them have the slightest of toe hang as well as some of the long neck models

I agree. even Scotty calls them Nearly Face Balanced putters.

 

That dang 3-Ball SRT is just WAY to dang big. LOL Wouldn't be bad though if it was heavier.

Actually, mine would now be called a Classic Plus 7 like the pic.

 

The 2 on my putter is a Roman numeral 2 (II), not the 2 you show.

Dont underestimate Craze-e G5 or ugle. thought it looks yucks.. but they works great.

 

Center shafted is the best face balanced putters , better than 2 bents in my opinions . And they are best used without offsets.

Are all of the Heavy line of putters face balanced?

 

Hank Haney's book released on Nov. 2, "Fix the Yips Forever" said that the larger percentage of golfers tested that had the .......errrrrr......."yips" (ok, ok, I said it) had a straight back-straight through stroke. Maybe I need to stick with the 2-ball belly.

Holy Crap Reid. Where did you manage to pick that one up? I thought I had seen most of the putters outthere, and now this one pops up. LOL That milling is spectacular on the face. Whattype of insert does that one have? I NEED MORE DETAILS!!!!!! LOL
