Don't overestimate what the equipment companies spend on LPGA endorsements. Even a top American player like Cristie Kerr finds that space on her hat and bag are more valuable than the equipment companies are willing to pay.

The name Woods might be worth more but not for a while. If she signs with Nike it's certain to be a pretty modest amount.

That might be true, but the again the LPGA tour is not exactly shock full of hotties..So you statement might be true, but so what? Personally, I would NEVER watch a LPGA tour event because I wnat to see beatiful women, I watch for the golf. Come to think of it, the ladies on the LPGA are generally pretty ugly, at least I think so. It's not exactly a Hooters is it?

I think she always played nike equipment...even when she played at Wake. Plus her uncle is kind of a big deal at nike golf (I think he has a building named after him or something). lol.

Tiger Woods' niece, Cheyenne Woods, recently signed a multi-year deal with Nike.

The two-time All-America from Wake Forest made her professional debut earlier this month at the Wegmans LPGAChampionship in Pittsford, N.Y. She missed the cut after shooting 75-79 for a 10-over 154. Shanshan Feng won the event with a 6-under 282.

Perhaps she received solace that her famous uncle also missed the cut in his first professional tournament.

"Now that I am solely focused on golf, I am eager and ready to make this my career," the younger Woods said. "Turning pro is what I've dreamed about my entire life. I've been playing since I was 5 years old. The fact that I have the opportunity to turn pro is incredible."

Cheyenne Woods will represent Nike by using Nike Golf clubs, balls, footwear, gloves, bags, apparel, headwear and accessories.

“I could not be more excited and proud to represent the Swoosh," she said. "Watching Tiger, I have grown up loving the brand, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Nike Golf family.”

In addition to her outstanding junior and college career, Woods earned a communications degree before turning pro. The 2011 ACC champ set multiple records in her four years at Wake Forest. In her senior year, Woods finished with the lowest single-season scoring average in school history at 73.47. She is one of three players in school-history to post three under-par rounds at the same tournament and had the third-most rounds (36) at par or better in school-history.

"We are excited to welcome Cheyenne into the Nike Golf family" said Mark Thaxton, global director of Sports Marketing Operations for Nike Golf. "We’re eager to work with her to ensure that she is equipped with the best tools for her success. Woods was a stand-out player for Wake Forest, and we are confident she will stand out for Nike Golf, as well."

Woods has qualified for the U.S. Women’s Open in Julyand will participate in LPGA Q-School later this year.

Nike is the main sponsor of equipment and apparel for all Wake Forest athletics hence why she is using them. That and she recently signed an equipment/apparel deal.

anyone know what flex she plays in her irons? my guess would be 5.0 or 5.5, since the driver was regular, but i could be wrong.
