non-conforming... .900+ COR SuperSpeed by TPF ... I know the owner of the company... check out his site.. http://www.tpfgolf.com/offset_drivers_high_COR.html

I've hit mine 360 yards before.. although to be honest... 85~95 is about the max swing speed you want on these.. once I got up around 110~115, I don't think there is much benefit from them..

Interesting, why do you say 110-115 is the max swing speed to see any difference? Is there a law of diminishing return once you get to 110 or something?

It's actually the opposite... as swing speed increases, you would see more of a benefit... not less.

I found the below in a "What is COR?" article by Tom Wishon:

To give a frame of reference for performance, with a driver the difference in carry distance between a head with a COR of 0.820 and another head with a COR of 0.830 would be 4.2 yards for a swing speed of 100 mph. It is true that as swing speed increases, the distance difference is greater. And likewise, as swing speed decreases the distance difference for each increment of the COR measurement is less. This is one of the reasons why the USGA rule which limits the COR of a clubhead has the effect of penalizing the slower swing speed golfer much more than the high swing speed player.

Full article here: http://golf.about.com/od/faqs/f/cor.htm

At a 0.900+ COR, one of those clubs would be fun to give a try!

It's been a while since this thread.. I just found this again.. anyways, not so much diminished results.. more like I cracked the weld on the sole of the head, my buddy gave me a replacement with the newer design. I put an Aldila RIP shaft into it and never tried it again.. it's sitting in a closet with my other golf gear..:)

Used to. we had to discontinue it when we kept getting very nasty critical emails from people "condemning" us for making such a head, even though we clearly stated in our catalog that it was non conforming and was only to be used by golfers who did not play in any type of competition and strictly were playing for fun. Sort of sad, but when it looked like this could affect our business with some clubmakers, it was simply a matter of having to cave into drop the model of possibly suffer a loss of business.

Oh my this is a good question. Have tried many nonconforming clubs one of my favorite is the
Roketto Misaiur and the Roketto D6 I have purchased both and currently use the Misaiur as my son now has the D6 model

Also the Callaway ERC Hot cant go wrong with either one of these drivers.

This really shows the difference between your customers and Jeff Summit's customers. His "Juggernaut" 515cc high-CoR driver is a huge seller for Hireko.

In reality, the number of players that play with mulligans, or gimmies, or whatever other "casual" rules they want should have no problem playing with non-conforming equipment. It's really all in the player's head that they are "too good" for stuff beyond the USGA limits, but will give themselves a do-over whenever the opportunity arises.

I recall Callaway ERC, Taylormade XD, and some JDM TaylerMades would be the easiest to find. I also recall a period in time when the COR rule came out JDM drivers were still largely non-conforming. So any older ones in that time frame might fit the bill too.

Now, what I think would be easier and less costly would be to play a non-conforming ball on the regular courses you play. That might be a hoot. Hit all your clubs pro distances and see what that would be like.
