Mizuno shaft optimizer. I forgot my recommendations. Can anyone check my numbers?

My advice would be to retest the two current favourites against the KBS Tour S, there is sufficient familiarity between the S and X to let you know if the KBS Tour is a better option.

 

I certainly wouldn't order the KBS tour without hitting it.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. I'll head back tomorrow and try the Tour S 130 to see if it feels as nice as the C Taper Lite 115 which felt the best to me even though the PX 6.5 produced very slightly better #s. Appreciate your time!

Just for information the KBS Tour S is 120 grams, only the X is 130 grams.

I have the software but it doesn't run on my Mac unfortunately. Could someone tell me what are the recs for:

 

86, 4-4-6-6

88, 4-4-6-5

 

Are any of the Nippon shafts on this list?

Recommendations are:

 

KBS C Taper Lite X

Nippon Modus 105 X

True Temper XP 115 S

 

Next up are Project X 5.5 and Project X LZ 5.5

 

Nippon Shafts in the Mizuno options are NS Pro 950, Modus 105 and Modus 120.

Thank you. Do you think the optimizer is accurate? That swing speed seems too high for my six iron. I only swing my driver 95-100.

 

Your driver has to be higher than that. My driver ss is in that range and I was at 80-81 for 6 iron.

Currently playing in AMT S300's in my hot metals. Going for a fitting next week for MP18's wanting to try some different shafts. While I like these shafts the weight seems to wear on me late in the round and my ball flight is a little low.

The main reason for these recommendations is your Tempo factor which suggests you have a fairly aggressive move. The software looks for some weight to keep this aggression in check.

 

Don't forget the software isn't perfect so try a few of the lighter weight options (XP 105 and Modus 105) when you next at the store.

Modus 120 S

KBS C Taper Lite S

 

XP 115 R and Dynamic Gold AMT R are numbers 4 and 5. Normal warning, these are starting point suggestions, testing required to find your best match.

Not totally transferable but your numbers suggest 90 mph driver swing speed, smooth non aggressive swing with a mid release and no severe shaft deflection.

 

Based on that assessment, a classic soft mid profile at a lighter weight would be a good place to start (actually is a good place to start with the majority of people)

 

The Tensei Blue AV 65 or the Tensei Blue AV 55 SFW both in stiff. The 55 is stock with the Titleist TS range and the 65 is in the Callaway Epic flash. The Aldila Synergy 50 S is a Callaway stock option in the Rogue and another option along with the Evenflow blue (55g is a Taylormade no cost option).
