Has anyone who got one checked on the accuracy?

Mine works perfect. I've played three rounds with it and every yardage is spot on. Picks up bunkers, trees, and any hazard you need to know. Scan mode shoots the distance of anything your looking. Pin seeker mode locks on when you get the flag and gives a very accurate reading. Completely worth the money. Be careful with it though. Not that it was a great idea to begin with, but I tossed it to my buddy the other day about 30 ft away and just from him catching it a part of the display started to fade. Although it went back to normal after a few holes. Still sticking by my opinion.

Important to note that no one here is differentiating between the different models. There are three - with only the top line model having Pinseeker mode. (Model AD1000)

Check link in OPost, water/dust resistant. In maintenance/care section: Handle with care. It deffinitely is not a Leupold.

I used mine for a week in Palm Springs, and it was perfect. I crosschecked it against the GPS in the cart a few times, and it was bang on. I have no complaints, and at the price, can't go wrong. I too purchased the AD1000, and would recommend it to anyone who asks for $150 or $160.

A seller has a best offer on his auction.aftser using it I prefrr scan mode since it can be hard to keep it steady at 200 yds. Anything past 300 and its kind of a crap shoot as it doesent always pick up yardage . But I use it for approach or par 3 90% of the time and its dead nuts so far .

Save half price on a piece of equipment (in this case, $160 vs $350=$190) then, you realize that your bargain is a POS so, you get a [u]great deal[/u] on a used/on sale article at, maybe $300. $160 + $300 = $360. Do you still believe that you got the "deal of a lifetime"?
How about Warranty? CS?

Are you going to give one a try? So far, you've pointed out that it's not a Leupold (thanks) and referred to it as a POS. I have to ask...why do you come back to this thread?

I bought the ad 1000 for $169 2 weeks ago. I play with guys who have the callawy, bushnell and leopold. I shoot mine when they shoot theirs and get the same number. Played 4 rounds so far and its very easy to use. 7X mag with scan is awesome. Mine was easier to shoot than one of the older bushnell v2s--shaky hands were not a problem with the nova at all. So far, I think I got a great deal and that's all that matters to me as I'm not name brand conscious on anything I buy. Time will only tell if it is as durable, but I don't see a problem at all now. Maybe the other brands will last longer, but I look at it like buying tennis shoes. $39 for a pair of tennis shoes is the max I'll pay as the ones that cost a lot more aren't going to last a lot longer

Anyone else have any updates on this range finder? I'm thinking of buying one of these but looking for some updates in terms of accuracy.

yep i do , mine seems to have false reading now , it seems to be giving me about 10 yards short on every shot around 150-170 yds, 2 par 3's i have come up a club short and a bit pissed.

only way i can confirm so far is by yardage on the tee. ex is 170 yrd par from blue to the center , reads 163 on the laser and its a blue pin. imo should be close to 175-180 and after hitting my shot with an 8 iron i found i needed a 7 . still need to confirm on a gps course.

Have you tried replacing the battery? Sounds dumb but mine was being squirrely not long ago and I put a new battery in just to see what would happen and it was back to perfect. Got paired with an older gentleman who had a leupold the other day and our readings were exactly the same (except where his aim was off)

Have been using mine for a couple of months now, very good accuracy once you get used to the menus and which mode its in.

I forgot to mention the battery, mine came with a crap battery that only lasted about 4-5 rounds. Its a simple and easy change, but those batteries are pricey, like $18.00 for two a two pack at the drug store.

The only other thing I've noticed is when shooting a pin with the sun directly behind it you won't get a reading. I don't know if this is the same with all range finders, but past about 150 yards with the setting sun in the background - good luck.

You can get these batteries almost anywhere. I got spares at the grocery store not too long ago.

been using mine for almost 2 mos. love it. my club just added prisms to the top of the pins to help shoot distances...nova optik didn't need em because it locked on quickly without them

Absolutely. Still works perfect and I've played a handful of rounds with guys using bushnells and leupolds and they all say my rangefinder is much easier and accurate than theirs.

Helps to read higher in the thread...thanks. Has anyone used a Leopold/Bushnell prior to this, and has anyone spotted any major differences? I know that people have found ranges to be nearly identical, but is the durability and pinseeker functions similar?
