Prizing for Club Champion

Over the weekend I won my club's Club Championship. I feel slighted as far as prizing goes and just want to know what your club's award the Club Champion with...Thanks

I've never played in one, but I once won a sleeve of Top Flight balls for winning an event ... thought that was pretty cheap.

How much was the entry fee? Generally, I would expect the entry fees minus any applicable green/cart fees to be returned as prizes.

Yeah, but they aren't members for free! That'd save me a cool $1600.

Our club champ got a really cool glass plate with our course logo etched on it and '2012 club champion'. It was pretty neat. Plus I think he got like $250 cash.

See most courses in my area do give their club champion a free membership for the following year. I was given $100 credit to the pro shop.

The only players that can compete are members, so they save ~$1600 for the price of a membership the following year. And this is only for our championship flight, we also have an A flight(6-12hc) and B flight (12+hc) and those winners receive 200 store credit. This was my first year in the championship flight and I lost to the eventual winner. Hopefully I get a better draw next year!

Gift Cert in the range of $150 and a trophy. (This is a privately owned course open to the public, not a CC)

All of the flight winners, both gross and net, get the same thing.

Am playing in the final of mine in 2 weeks but do not know what you win. name on the board in the main room, and on the trophy which stays in the club but what else I dont know.
