My Apologies

Dear All:

 

I am sincerely sorry for the confusion that my Napa post caused. I am currently on 3-week vacation in Europe and just recently found out about it last night. My roomates were nice enough to play not only this prank on me, but others as well which will have me making apologies for days when I return home. Let me clarify whats going on. First, the napa I bought on eBay is currently at the custom shop being restored with a pro platinum finish. I have another napa, original 1995, that has never been used. I will gladly take pics of this beauty as soon as I return home. Its all original, plastic on head and grip, with micro step diamond shaftband and pebble NOS grip. Comes with original Titielist flag NOS headcover. Again, I apologize for this confusion and trust it will never happen again. As you can see, I have perfect feedback on both eBay and GolfWRX and would never want to ruin it on something as stupid as this. Rest assured, I will do everything now and in the future to prevent this from happening again (maybe changing my golfwrx password as well as other passwords) and give a thorough beating to my 2 roomates.

I thought the thread that caused this apology was a personal attack, but the more and more I have read two things have come clear to me: 1) This guy is definitely full of it and 2) and I mean this as lovingly as possible, you guys are absolutely golf dorks! The pickup of the shaft band coming into production in 1998, must say impressive. Nice job everyone for exposing a fraud.

Sounds like Somebody is a little moody. I normally try not to take sides, But I have known George (geogolf) for awhile now. He's never been wrong yet.

If you log in your password is stored in the Cookies so anyone that logs on has access. I would suggest that you go to Internet Options and delete all files and cookies since your roommates cannot be trusted. One thing is for certain, there are people on both boards that will sniff out a deal that is not above board. Also, this is not a large community as Ebay is and once a name is tarnished here the person is done. JAT.

Today JWolfe replied to a WTB post I have and offered to ship me the items tomorrow...then when I asked how b/c he said he was in Europe ...he responded "I have assistants that take care of my business when I'm gone" or something along those lines... Just curious if these assistants are your "roommates"?

There have been a lot of people that had positive feedbacks then went astray. We are not saying you are one of those. However, your comment at the end of this post is very immature. It is not our fault that you were caught on this. Before you get mad at us, look in the mirror or take it to your roommates. We were not attempting to defraud anyone, your thread did. What is the story about this post? Also, where is your apology at TCC? I did not catch you, some people I trust at TCC did. Thank goodness for them finding the unscrupulous seller or more people would get taken advantage of. Before going into another hissy fit, you might want to think your actions over.

Agreed, George is a most credible source. This is not the first time he has been through this sort of thing either as I recall some similar posts on TCC.

 

I'm not so much in question of whether your in Europe or not as I am of whether or not this truely was a prank by your roomates. George presented some very compelling facts and if I was going to pull a prank on somone I would never even consider doing something like that.

So we are to believe we will see a Pic , say with a Newspaper Dated- showing a New Never restored Gun Blue Napa in Plastic. The one you say you have the reciept from 1996 when you would have been all of 14 yrs old............

And the Napa you were trying to pass off as new and in Plastic. You know...the one you just sent in for a new Shaftband and NOS Grip and Headcover.

 

Look, you have a great restored Napa, and if you wanted to flip it, if you advertised as such- you might have made a quick 75 or 100. Plus you had plenty of time to clear the facts.

 

But, It's not a shock it took over a day to come up with as goofy as a story as "I'm in Europe". But it would take a fool to believe it.

I am in full agreement here. Exactly, NOS grip and cover. Wouldn't it be nice that someone tied very closely to the Studio makes a call and find out if the putter of discussion is there for a grip and cover makeover?

 

Also, geogolf has an impeccable reputation and I trust him 100% along with other members here and at TCC.

I know that if I had purchased the putter for the $700 he was asking for to find out later that the putter was restored, making the realistic value between $400 - $450, I would be livid. Yes, this is a buyer beware world. It amazes me that sellers get irate when being exposed. What about the potential victim that was saved in outing this misleading sell?

I agree. While I am but a mere novice in the world of Scotty Cameron knowledge, I owe both GolfWRX and TCC a big thanks as I've learned and am still learning a great deal about Scotty's from them. Too bad I can't get to TCC from work anymore. :fool:

 

The entertainment value of watching people twist themselves into a pickle like this is phenomenol! It puts reality TV to a shame!
