I don't know if this makes a difference but he responded to my WTB post and said that he owns a small golf shop and his supplier is the same as TGW.com in Kansas. He gave me 2nd day air at no extra charge and gave me the tracking number ASAP. The items were shipped and should be at my house in about an hour or so. This happened on Monday and he shipped them Tuesday.

I have an original, plastic still on the head and grip, mil spec with the gun metal finish and the red studio design grip. It comes with the original headcover that is blue and says center shafted prototype on it .. Anyone Interested??? WINK WINK...I can send pics once I get back from my cruise, which should last 4 weeks but could last as long as 45 days depending on the mail, I mean the weather and waves....

I bought a Titleist SM 60* wedge from him just before Christmas - it came two days later - brand new, and in a box from TGW. Kind of wondered why it would come straight from there, but thought he might have a credit there, and wa just trying to use it up. He's been selling a lot of stuff in here - shoes, clubs, etc. This is the first negative I've heard against him - but it's a doozy!

Please note that I have the utmost respect for George and would be much more likely to believe information he comes up w/ that is independently verifiable than the "trip" information posted here. FYI, it is entirely possible to track down exact location of user posting information through ISP provider, especially through a search warrant obtained by USPS inspector if fraudulently represented merchandise was paid for via a USPS money order :fool: , just a little food for thought before someone gets themselves in a world of trouble trying to make a quick buck! BTW- the opinion expressed here is the sole opinion of the poster and resemblance to any actual situation involving fictious travel or selling practices is purely intentional (oops I meant to say coincidental)

Mitchell, Thanks. Not everyone is "right" 100% of the time. I would not call myself an expert. I would leave that up for others to decide. Now with that being said. After trading buying and selling camerons for about 10 years. Buying selling Trading a couple hundred Camerons a year, and having about 50 putters that were mine, or restored on the Cameron registry. I can feel confident in saying I can spot a restored one.

 

When one looks at the putter- you have to look at the whole package.

 

1) Remilled face- which just screams a new resto.

2) 1998 Oil Can Shaftband & Cover

3) Grip that is in plastic.

 

Now.. total that all up that would = a new resto. But..where did the Grip in plastic Come from. Simple Answer really.

 

A restored Napa-- sent in off to Cameron. It is then restored with a new Shaft NOS Titleist Script Cover and NOS Pebble Grip. Possibly an owner has another NEW Cameron in plastic from that 1998 era ( this would explain the AOP headcover)

Pull the New Shaft and grip fresh from resto........and install the grip/shaft combo in plastic.

 

Any Combination though will not = a Brand new Titleist Scotty cameron napa Gun Blue that is in plastic & never restored. AND another one that is restored.

 

Right Wrong or otherwise... I am sure Jason is probably a good guy. But in the world of Camerons, Collectors are Picky..and Critics can spot inaccuracies a mile away. Many of us tried to give him a heads up. he chose another path.

 

I will guess we will see that Napa again. With the new NOS stuff installed. Who knows, maybe he can borrow a friends new Gun Blue Napa in plastic for a Photo Op. But this all could have been avoided.

As for the Roommate story, that's been used before as well. The last time, they were posting while the owner of the screen name was "in the shower."

 

I recall another time when a poster got caught in a lie and rather than admit what he did, continued to bury himself with more mistruths. The irony is that most people respect when you can admit your mistakes.

I just caught this thread today and there is a lot that I don't understand about Jason. I saw his Japan Titleist Bag he has up for sale and was interested when he posted it. I'm glad I forgot about it after this thread. I then looked up he ebay account and found he purchased the bag on Dec 1st for $300 plus $86 for shipping. He is selling it here for $330 shipped which makes me wonder why he is taking a loss. I will not make any accusation's but one would wonder if his purchase was from legit funds.

Guys I talked with JWolfe607 today. I got my wedges in great condition but one was a 56º instead of a 54º. I send him an IM through his screenname in his profile and got one of his roommates. He said he was in France and that he ordered stuff for Jason...my wedges included. The other 2 roommates messed with his putter and this roommate told them not too...but they did anyway. He said Jason was thinking about selling it before he left. They guy I talked to was great and helped me for a long time to get my messed up order straight. Just letting you guys know...I don't know what's going on but this is what I was told.

Dude I don't know that's just what I was told. It makes sense his roommates could be on his name and then he gets on and sees it and then they're on when you check his IP address and it says they're in the USA. I mean it can go both ways...truth or no truth...makes sense either way you roll the dice.

Guys don't get all up in arms...just what I got from them. I had a long conversation with them about getting the right wedge and we came to an agreement. I just IM'ed him and was like is this Jason? And he said no this is his roommate Jason is in France. Guy didn't even know I was from GolfWRX or know about this thread until I told him.
