Quick Answer Help - Alaqua CC, DeBary, or Deltona conditions?

Running down to North Orlando tomorrow (Altamonte Springs/Maitland), kind of a last minute trip to pick up a bike. Figure to stop at one of the three listed courses for a quick 18 in the afternoon on the way back. Anyone played these or others in the area lately and can recommend one over the other? I hear great things about Legacy Club at Alaqua but not sure if we can get on...

Leaning toward Alaqua CC just because it's closet to Maitland, but open to other choices if ACC is not in decent shape. Already played Timicuan and Victoria Hills so looking for something different...

[/quote]Forget Alaqua, it's not a good layout, tight and penal, that's why it's never been successful, Legacy is private, Debary is a good choice, but Timacuan is the better one.

I enjoy Debary but haven't played the others for comparison. Debary will challenge you because it's a bit narrow and there is OB on both sides of every fairway except for 1 and 18.

Deltona did not overseed.

Why don't you play RedTail. It is BY FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR the best value for money. Superb layout, great condition. You can get a round + range balls + lunch for $55 on GolfNow. It is the exact same distance away as the others.

Already played Timicuan and Red Tail (and agree on Red Tail, unreal course for the money), so we were just looking for something different. Legacy yeah couldn't get on, local Golfsmith recommended Alaqua or Debray, Said Magnolia and Heathrow were usually in poor condition and didn't seem impressed with Deltona. I swear one day I will play that course lol. Debray didn't have a time that worked for us, so ACC it was.

We enjoyed the course, agree a bit tight and plenty, I mean plenty of water. Lots of 3w and hybrids off the tee, I think I only hit driver 3, maybe 4 times. Overall in good shape, tee boxes were a little rough but the fairways and greens were fine. Had a few birdie looks but nothing fell . Now, there are some sweet houses out there, for sure. I think some of the pool screens might cost more than my house lol. OK not really but there were some very nice diggs out there. For $20 it was a bargain. Thanks all for the suggestions.

Btw. Have you played Victoria Hills? Probably the best layout in CFL. 1 exit down from Deltona. Condition is not what it used to be, but still a great track.

Yes, a few years ago. Nice layout, but was in rough shape when we played. Not terrible, but greens were half sand/half grass (some sort of weird greens maintenance/recovery thing they had going on), and they hard some bare sports in fairways, dirt/grass in bunkers, etc.

Red Tail, as mentioned before is also a great layout, but in much better shape... It's a $50 fee but would probably cost $125 if it was down in Orlando. As nice as any of the Reunion/Disney/Celebration/etc courses I'd say.

I really want to play Bella Colina, probably going to hit it on our next trip. Was scheduled to play last time but they had just punched so we swapped to Waldorf Astoria instead.

Played Victoria today. Boy they have let that course go. In march of last year it was in the best shape I had ever seen it. Now it's pretty bad. Pity. One of these days I am going to buy that course and turn in into the gem it used to be.

I have Bella. Nice club house but in all honesty it is nothing special. I can't recall as single memorable hole. Redtail is a much better track IMHO.
