There's a lot of stuff that there is really no point reading. It's kind of like, does Mercedes need to know what a 16 year old who doesn't own a car and has never been in a Mercedes thinks about the new e class?

Then there is some stuff that probably is worth reading. I bet they know how to filter it.

It's like knowing how to filter through restaurant ideas on urbanspoon. If the chef has been on tv then a bunch of people are gonna trash the place simply because it has notoriety, do I need to read those reviews? No, I don't, but if someone has something legitimate to say then yeah, I'll pay attention.

I definitely know they read what is wrote on here both negative and positive. All of the stuff that is wrote? prob not. This was something that was asked about on the trip i went on. Along with distance claims they make like the group that went after us asked about. Hell I have a picture of Sean reading golfwrx at breakfast that someone took on the trip. They are very aware what is posted on here. Not all of it but most.

I would place a wager that most, if not all the OEM's read this site. First off they are golf nuts like ourselves and second we have some great discussions on here.

I think for the most part people's points have been made. I don't think it was ever intended to be a moratorium on TMAG as a company, but more a discussion about OEM's presence and influence on the board and it's posters, which seemed to be growing in some people's opinions. I thought the thread was great for a while because there were some good points and counterpoints made, and as a business (golfwrx) i think it's always important to get feedback from the members. The fact that the thread lasted and included some senior members, and was pretty respectful for most of it's existence (or at least the early parts in the 19th hole) is a credit to the site IMO and not a poor reflection on it. We care about providing the right kind of feedback to the people who come here for reviews and unbiased opinions

if the thread has become "i hate Tmag" then it's run it's course and maybe should be shut down, because that wasn't the intent (other OEMs were discussed at length early on)
