R510 DF

I was at the Virginia State Golf Show today and was browsing there the driver just in case I saw any tour issued clubs and came upon 8 or 9 but unfortunately they were all marked up because they were tour issued, the cheapest one was an R510 which had a sticker on it which said "Tour Van Deep Face" it had an odd etching instead of a serial number and a shaft which I am not familiar with. Can anyone help me with whether or not this is actually Deep Face they others were definitely tour they had the serials so I know the vendor it knowledgeably. Thanks!

It may be a deep face driver but something looks screwy with the lines on the face, see comparison, and the half loft isn't underlined either. Are you sure it isn't the 345 cc R510? I am not referring to this picture below, this is the R510 DF Proto.

I think you are right Mac. Look where the paint meets the hosel. Look like different clubs to me. Also the face looks deeper on yours.

The paint and the scorelines look the same. Also his picture is closer so that may be why his looks more deep face.

The paint and the score lines are NOT the same. Look at where the paint meets the hosel in the face pic. Also look at the top right score line. One is noticeably longer than the other.

sorry mrpheebz, your R510 looks like 345cc version.. if it does not have underline on the 5 of 9.5 loft its not DF...

but it could be just R510 tour model, not the DF...

I've found one on eBay, seller claims its a tour head R510 9.5 with T serial but he does not claim its a DF, just R510 tour head... check out looks like it has same scoring line as mrpheebz.

scoring lines on the right side(hosel side) the very top line should be shorter than the 2nd line, but in ebay r510 and mrpheebz r510, top line is longer than the 2nd scoring line....

The face shape is wrong for the R510 TP or DF. The thing that is very odd is the length of the paint on the hosel. The regular R510 has a short paint length, similar to the R510TP and DF, but the one in this thread has a much longer one. The scoring lines are that of a regular R510, but that paint on the hosel is intriguing.

the ebay link that I've posted above has exact appearence. Same scoring line but longer black paint on the hosel. Seller does have the T- serial, so it must be a tour. Maybe R510 tour 360cc? size?
