I am usually not jelous of JDM equipment, but when it comes to the Tourstage vs Bridgestone equipment, I greaty envy those in the foreign market. Bridgestone could bring these the market and do so well with a little advertising. Full blade sets or combo them to the J40's. I don't understand why they do not market something so beautiful. And it's not like the equipment plays sub-par eitther, it's quality stuff that can compete with anything out there.

bridgetone IS tourstage.
but when i tried to sell my TOURSTAGE 901 and 905 blades with monacco shafts , no one had any idea or interest in them.
but ,the j38, which are the 901 re badged in the US . exactly the same heads diffent stamp. were on sale a few monmths later for 3 times mine bec they said bridgestone not tourstage, the j38s were worth almost tripple of what hte tourtage 901s were aparently............ .....?????????

go figure........

so i gotta disagree 100% that tourstage has ANY pulling power in the us without significant advertising ..
its insane,, utterly insane. these are on the branch at the top of tree , bridgestone/ tourstage along with yamaha for the very best all over range of clubs u can buy.

yet no one looks .
i sit shaking my head,.

I'll chime in as I was the J38 seller. Yes, they are the same as far as manufacturing goes. But the reason I listed the J38's so high was because they were "un-attainable."

You could get in touch with tourspec and order the 901s and you'd have the same exact iron just stamped differently, but if you called Bridgestone and asked for a J38 blade....they'd say "show us your ID badge that says "PGA Tour member." You simply couldn't buy them....anywhere.

Same rule applies to Cameron's Circle T's. Different badges may not be worth the extra coin to some, but there's definitely a market to others.

Picked mine up from the builder this morning after a shaft swap from Modus to Recoil. Hit about a bucket with the 5-iron and was suitably impressed. Gone is the clickiness of the 905s and is replaced by a smooth dense feeling at impact. A marked improvement over the previous generation. Looking forward to some course time tomorrow...

How is everyone getting on with these - I am seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on these before they sell out!

What shafts did you go for? I play S300's in my TaylorMade MCs, but am not convinced thay will suit the 909. I hit 6 iron about 165 yards carry, and default shape is a fade.

aaaaa ha............................ thanks i had no idea about that, yes guess so.
anwyay i played these for a cpl of weeks , (the 909....) and they played very well in deed. they still havnt got h that softer feel. but that makes no differnce to the playability of them , they are top of the tree for that.
had x-100 in them and that was a very good match just a little "dull" feeling
can not fault any of the x-blade range. like MJd's above post im seriosuly considering the mcs now.

owari !

I just hope the top line is thinner than the Mizzy and the current XBlades.

That model isn't a Japanese Domestic Model - it's a cheap export model not sold in Japan.

I hate to burst your bubble, Oldplayer, but those would feel nothing close to a JDM top-of-the-line model.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. They may not be the best ever but they play and feel just fine.
