BOS refinishing

Nicks etc removal.

I have a couple of putters that I'm planning to send to Black Oxide Services. Do they actually take out nicks and so forth, or just do the finish?

I asked them that recently, and was told the refinishing fee included "buffing out any minor nicks/scratches."

 

Depending on the depth of the nicks, they might need to spot weld. Not sure on the cost of that, but the Custom Shop starts at $50 for welding, and I'd imagine it would be less from BOS.

They weren't to bad, mainly rust and finish problems... here's a couple before BOS, top one is the Tei3

Price depends on what needs to be done, the Black Pearl finish on the Betti had to be stripped which added to the cost... they've got a price list on the site, much more economical to send multiple putters, thus I waited till I had 3 I wanted to send.

 

Next I've got a Newport ProPlatinum that I'm going to send to Putter Plating to have redone in Satin Nickel, I hear they do great work as well and the PP is pretty dinged up, I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do with it... http://www.putterplating.com/services.html
