I was the first knucklehead out on Saturday at my club. Temp was near 50, but plenty of snow was on the course. Ended up being a nice day.

Took a few snap shots of my current setup that I keep in the bag room. I need to get together a set to keep at our beach house and update this thread when I have it together.

 

2014 changes

-Big Bertha Alpha will replace the Adams 9064LS

-Something will replace the 735.CM 3-iron...not sure yet. I'll need to get the numbers right for distance gaps.

After a lot of demo-ing many wedges, they are my favorite. Driver/Slider is my fit. Really versatile and great feel. Just picked up some backups.

Haven't hit them yet, but Bertha Alpha is in the bag and Scratch wedges have been replaced by Mack Daddy 2s. Long winter and hanging out in the pro shop is making me rethink everything... FW and hybrid are on the chopping block, but I'll wait til Demo Day.

Pro shop is stripping my irons tomorrow, so I can install PURE grips on them.

2015 update

 

Finally found the right shaft for my Big Bertha Alpha. Playing the Fujikura Pro 66 in stiff flex. The combo is so stupid (in a good way), must have gained 10 yards on average based on where I have been playing from at my home track.

 

909h and the old 735.CM 3i are gone, replaced by Srixon 745 3& 4 hybrids. These things are so easy to hit - from the tee, fairway and rough - they feel great and fit my gaps perfectly.

 

The putter... I had Byron build me a 612 in carbon with copper plate. Always like Tai's (@Pure745) 612 putters with the hand softening. So I asked for the Tai treatment. 34.5", roughly 345 gram head and the PURE putter grip. The putter feels good, makes a great roll and the copper plate is really looking great with wear.

 

Also, have Rose & Fire driver and putter covers. Really great product, I highly recommend checking them out. I'll probably get hybrid covers as well later this year.

Thanks Tai. Here are a few quick pics I shot this morning. I haven't messed with the finish at all. I find the patina interesting on the top line and bumpers, but lack of on the shoulders or pocket. I think it's cool, going to let it go and not try to clean it up at all. #nofilter

Srixon hybrids are dope. Feel great with the stock Kuro Kage, super easy to hit. Great launch, easy to maneuver. I didn't see much difference in the recent Cally offerings vs. my BBA. Hit everything at my club's Demo Day, decided to stick with what I have and happy that I did.

Definitely a great guy, one of the rare ones on these internet forums for sure. I like the patina on the bumper, looks really cool. We'll need to get together for a round one of these days!

my Byron gamer is showing some nice patina, even a little pitting after playing in the rain this weekend. Been a long time since I putted so well, but getting the ball on the green has been a bit of an issue this season.

Changed putters again after a bunch of poor performances from the above. Currently have a Cameron Hollywood in the bag and it is working quite well.

With a 3-wedge set up, I wanted to have more versatility with the PW. I found the Scratch was a better choice for chipping and I think it gets thru rough easier on approach shots into greens. I'm not looking forward to the day the grooves die and I have to replace it...

That Byron putter really is a beauty. Is it still your gamer ? Which finish is it ?

Thanks. Yep, my Byron is copper plate over carbon steel and I've done nothing as far as maintenance. When I get some free time and decent light, I'll shoot a few pics of it to show the current state of the finish. It is my main gamer, but I've sprinkled in some time with a few of my others this fall, none compare to the confidence I have with the Byron Morgan. Although, I have a new putter being made with Kingston, so I'll need to have a rodeo in the spring before the official season kicks off.

Great ! Thanks for the all the info. I'm currently hesitating between Byron, Kingston and Kronos for a new putter. Have you tried Kronos ?
